MemberAh, I have never tried to run metatrader on a Mac. I did once using parallels but that’s different as it emulates Windows. I can suggest only to try running portable mode and see if that resolves the issue. To do this do the following:
1 – Navitage to your terminal64.exe file and create a shortcut
2 – Open the properties of the created shortcut and add /portable at the end after the “…..terminal64.exe”
3 – Then run Mt5 using the shortcut and open the fie folder and try again to copy the EAs.
Let me know how you get on 🙂

MemberDear Team, I have jus registered for the 21 day program. I can see that I have the “Professional Trading Strategies + 5 Bots Included” in my courses. I have downloaded the course into my dedicated Course folder. 1.
First thing that confuses me is 38 Lessons, I imagined there to be 21?
I have read the PDF outline. Day 1 being load the EAs into Meta trader. Is this explained in part of the following 35 lessons or am I missing something?
I have opened an account on IC. I am expecting a follow up email or is this incorrect. I am not seeing a step by step instruction list. Could you please help me out. Thank you.

ParticipantDo you guys know whether it’s possible to use the same EAs (from the 21 day programme) in multiple terminals? It is not even visible. I only have the EA’s from the course in the terminal (MT5). Any guidance would be much appreciated.

ParticipantThe 21-day programme is made up of several courses, each guiding you through a series of videos. I can’t recall exactly which lesson covers the question you raised, but it was explained in the material. I’m also not done with the programme and stalled somewhere on the lesson related to finding your own strategies with the studio.
From memory, the process looks something like this:
Choose your platform – MetaTrader 4 or 5.
I prefer MT5, especially if you’re working with EAs. You can download it directly from your broker, or MT5 can be downloaded independently without linking to a broker at first.
Download the EAs suited to the platform you selected (MT5-specific files if you choose MT5).
Install the EAs in MetaTrader:Open MT5
Go to File → Open Data Folder
Navigate to MQL5 (or MQL4 if using MT4)
Open the Experts/Advisors folder and place your EA files there
Close the window afterwards
Enable live operation for your EAs:Make sure AutoTrading is turned on in MT5
Go to Tools → Options → Expert Advisors tab
Check Allow Algo Trading
Enable Allow DLL imports and Allow WebRequests
Set up your chart:In Market Watch, open a chart for the pair the EA is designed for
Select the required timeframe
Ensure Autotrading is enabled
Drag the EA onto the chart
From here, the course lessons go deeper into the different EA types Petko refers to and how to work with them effectively.December 1, 2025 at 11:27 am #475591epien
ParticipantTurns out, it seems, one must compile the EA (in other words F4, right click on EA and select compile – it compiles without errors and then shows up in the terminal.
So without compiling, it is not enough to refresh and restart the terminal.
Am I correct in saying this?
