ParticipantHey Petko,
what do you think about some kind of platform/app or any thing on the website where people can actually share trading results. I think it willb e very motivation. May be competition?

ParticipantHey Petko, some of the 99 Cryptocurrency Expert Advisors from this month of January are doing great profit with me. No single loss so far!

ParticipantHey guys,
pretty busy the last days!
The automated trading software EA Studio has been my savior after I was scammed.
It turned out that it is much better to learn to trade by yourself, and depend on your skills instead trusting someone.
Of course, I wouldn’t do it without Petko, his courses, and his support.
He has been very kind sharing so many strategies, teaching me 1:1, and basically having the chance to communicate with such a trader, gave me the power again to trade.
As I said in other topics, already my profits are bigger than the losses I had, so I am very happy with EA Studio!

ParticipantHello Ossaio,
opening a live account is fine even to collect the live data from the broker if you are planning to use it in the future.
However, you can practice EA Studio during the time you collect more data, and when you feel your trading strategies are robust enough, you can go for it.

ParticipantHi Roman,
It is good that you test with the OOS and 6 months at the end. However, you are using huge period, so you can afford it.
Keep in mind that the more Historical data you have, the profit per day becomes smaller. That is why to look for this “golden middle” that will bring you you robust strategies with a nice profit.

ParticipantHello Dommech,
it is great that you share your plan. It sounds interesting, and Roman is right that it is a lot of work, but if you organize it well, and get used to manage it, I think you might have a great success!
I would only suggest you to mic in one account different assets not only one(as GBPJPY), even on different time frames.
Also, make sure to test longer your idea on Demo account. This will give you more confidence, and you will make it all clear for yourself.

ParticipantHello Ossaio,
sure, do that, but do not accept the mentioned broker as recommendation. It is a personal choice which one to use.

ParticipantHey Roman,
yes I know it is a headache to collect data, and the best is to collect the broker demo data, and the broker live data. Also, it is easy to compare if they are similar if you place a strategy in EA Studio, and change just the Data source

ParticipantCheers, Andi!
Sometimes students complain that only 7-8 EAs out of the 10 are profitable with them 🙂 Having 1-2 is great already, glad you appreciate it!
Petko Aleksandrov
ParticipantHey Andi,
that sound really good! This way you will be able to practice more the EA Studio to build your EAs, and in the same time you will be able to get better diversification with my EAs. Good job!

ParticipantHey Roman, glad to hear that you found so profitable EA from those I share!
Now, I know we always “miss” these trades on Demo account, and not on the live, but we need to test the EAs. Anyway you wouldn’t know which one between all will work best for you.

ParticipantHey Ossaio,
Glad to hear from you.
Well, yes the data is too small for some reason, and it will be hard for you to generate robust strategies with this small data.
Normally, when you open account it should be about 65k-70k bars on M1.
You can use the Meta Trader – Demo on EA Studio(that is data coming from JFD broker).

ParticipantI have two of the 10 usdjpy EAs on my live and they are doing just great.
thnaks, Petko

ParticipantThe best I found this month is to place all the EAs from Petko’s courses on Demo, and there are always some that work just fantastic with me. so I just move them to the live, at the moment I have totally 8 EAs and 4 are from Petko’s courses.
So I feel that it will work great for me to have 50% from the EAs generated by me, and 50% from Petko.

ParticipantI am used to place the max consecutive losses in the acceptance criteria.
I think it is great filter because this way we know how many negative trades to expect during the trading.
also if there are more during the demo trading, than I know it is over optimized Expert Advisor
