Hi there!
Last month I joined the EA Forex Academy and took some courses with EA Studio. I started testing some EAs and found that the portfolio Experts do great work, and yesterday I placed the trading portfolio Expert Advisors from the course of Petko on a live account. Here are the results for 24 hours:
I was a bit skeptical about this all, and that is the way I did not write in the forum so far. Now I see that actual results could be achieved, which makes me so happy!
Of course, I will follow the system of Petko Aleksandrov strictly, and I will remove the EAs that do not perform well.
But anyway, these are my first profits, so happy to share the results. 🙂

I did not notice that it is not available for MT5. I am still learning on the courses and practicing with the EAs that are coming with the courses. I do not have still the knowledge to build my own, but I hope soon I will be able.
Hey Ivelina, Very good results! I test the Trading Portfolio Expert Advisors from Petko too, and they are great. Of course, as he explains in the courses, there are always losers, but most are profitable with me too!
I hope next month to be in a small live account too!

I can not wait to get to this Trading Portfolio Expert Advisors course, but since I am a beginner trader, I think I will leave it for the end.

Great to see your results. I am still testing the Trading Portfolio Expert Advisors, but actually, I compared the results and they are very similar.
I am still afraid to go on a live account with them, even I trade regular EAs on live.

you are right, to use Trading portfolio Expert Advisors looks a bit scarier. This is because basically, the trading process is reversed.
With the regular Expert Advisors, we test many on Demo account and we place on live only the top performers.
With Trading Portfolio Expert Advisors we need to place on live all the EAs, and then remove the ones that are losing.
So give it more time on Demo, and you will see if this is your trading style.
I have been trading with Trading Portfolio Expert Advisors but I keep it small. Like I place 10 EAs on the live account and use Petko’s system to remove the ones that are not performing well.
Works fine so far. But I keep it 0.01 lot and 10 EAs.

I am generating some portoflios and i am able to generate them only in USDJPY. I test them in EA studio and then on MT4 tester.I saw the results are the same so i usually start with real trading and so far i generate a ton of profit.
Now come the problems. With all the other crosses, every strategy is not good. They are really bad! To be precise on EA studio they looks good but on MT4 tester and on real account they lose money.
So today i downloaded (for the first time) Petko’s EAs for EURUSD i put them on EA studio with my broker’s data (obviously) and they were all losing. Then i place them on MT4 Tester and they were all in profit.
So my question is: is possibile that EA studio is using some indicators that my broker hasn’t or has different? And again is Mt4 tester more reialable than EA studio.

Glad to hear you are doing profit with the USDJPY portfolios.
Now, for EURUSD EAs( I guess the ones from my Portfolio course) you placed them on EA Studio and they were losing but on the MT were profiting. If you are using one and the same Historical data there should be no difference. I mean recalculating the EAs on EA studio and testing them on MT with the same data should give you same results as it gives you in USDJPY.
Simply if there is a difference it should be for all assets and not just for one.
Make sure you have the same settings on EA Studio and MT and the same historical data.

It is much easier to upload pictures.
Now, please, send me some screenshots from your set up on MetaTrader Tester and on EA Studio, from the Historical data, etc.
By looking at these graphs I can not say anything…I can not see what you are missing.
Also, keep in mind that both work fine, and try to find what is the thing that causes you the difference.

What is see is just the spread difference? 2.5 for EURUSD is a HUGE spread. It will reflect a lot on your data.
Can you send a picture from the Data-statistics of your broker? Could be something there:

thank you for the reply. Unfortunately the spread is not the problem. I use bigger spread only for caution. In real i have 0.8 spread. I have tried with the real spread and there aren’t differencies (on MT4 the equity goes up, on EA Studio goes down).
I also use the big spread on USDJPY which is the only cross who doesn’t give problems.
