ParticipantHello,
There is a lot of bots, and you can make consistent profits, but with prop firms, their rules are strict and they specifically ask for not commercial or 3rd party EAs, so you have to create your own startigies, in order to do that, you can use the top 10 App, or the prop firm EA apps, where you can create many robots, or generate a customized robots for your account size and strategies.
you can find them here:

ParticipantHello Lourens,
If you are trying to trade on a 1000$ that is riskier in general than on 10000$ and the curves won’t show as much, because the 10% on 1000$ will look less “steeped” than 10000$ for sure
As for XM, you need to back test on that as well, but since it is Demo trading, that is doable on any broker, but the results might change slightly from one broker to another.
Please let me know if there is anything else you need help with.

ParticipantHello Simon,
thank you for sharing your thoughts about that.

ParticipantHello Xavier,
You are mentioning a very important point which is better not to add two bot together especially if they are trading the same Pair
Good to hear that you are making good progress and you are profitable.
When it comes to US residents. I’m no so sure but as long as you are accepted by a broker or a prop firm you should be good to go
The difference between the EA studio and the prop firm robots is that the prop firm robots will have more features like randomization which is good for props but the EA studio is good for back testing any EAs.let me know if you still need help
cheers

ParticipantHi Psmea,
That would be ideal, you need to match the timing and then you look at the backtest if it is matching or not
I’m using IC markets at the moment and DarwinX for testing and I keep my open time to default to be honest, I don’t change it at all.
cheers

ParticipantHello Psmea,
Darwinx is having very high cost when it comes to real trading, so if you calculate the commission, spread and swaps, the difference can be 2-3% per month on the live accounts.
Regarding the timing of the trades open, it is not connected to a specific timing but more of the data coming on that time, if the entry meets the timing it opens a trade, maybe you chose the server timing manully, you need to check that and match it with the EA time, also you can change the timing as you did and backtest it again
for example change the time to be starting at 01:10

ParticipantHi Marc,
The thing is, with these EAs it will start trading only if they get specific entry indicators or confirmation
so It can be idle for few days because the market is not moving much
you can wait for a week or so and they you can check again
I have one of my robots and it is also trading only EURUSD but since Monday there are no trades as well.
So that is normal.

ParticipantHello Marc,
Can you share some screenshots
Especially in MT4 you need to enable the EA itself to be able to tradeIn the common section you need to enable “Allow live trading”
also for how many days it is on and not trading?
Mark Henry
ParticipantHello Amal,
Can you share screenshots of the platform and I will try to help you?
for now you can check if allowed the live trading for the EA itself.Mark Henry
ParticipantHello Grzegorz,
There is a 2 week trial for EA Studio, you can use that to test your EAs
Mark Henry
ParticipantHello Marc,
why don’t you try to take the 21 days course, it is a free course with some EAs as well, then you will learn to deal with EAs or maybe create your own,
here is the link:
After you can Purchase the EA Studio where you can create many strategies by yourself :

ParticipantHello Epian,
Glad that you figured out the data part,
now in my opinion if you are getting charged commission and spread during live trading, you should include it in the backtest if you really want to see close to reality results, because commission and spread can make your results 1-2% less profit, so better to include them.
let me know if there is more info you need.
Thanks

ParticipantHello James,
Regarding adding the EA to the Live, what is the value, is it the same as the demo? did you check the journal to see if the EA is working fine or not? Algo trading is on, but is the EA itself is on? somtimes you need to turn the EA on then the Algo trading, some other times it is the opposite, you can share screenshot and I will try to help you out.regarding the course, did you go through the steps, or you are skipping them, because you get new email with every step, sometimes it takes time, like a day or two.
PS the EAs work on more than one account, the top EAs are having demo period which you can download whatever you want and it will keep working for you.
if you need something else do let me know and I will try to help.
