maybe some of you have noticed that there are new videos on the Landing page on EA Studio:
I decided to make a free start-up course about EA Studio which will help all traders that test the trial period. If you have already experience with EA Studio, I am sure there might be something new to learn.
On the right side, you can see each lecture, and you can click on it if you want to see specifically this video.
Also, we have already captions available in English, Portuguese(Brazil) and Japanese. There are some more languages coming up. If anyone likes to contribute to different languages, please let us know. 🙂

I had a funny call today 🙂
Somehow they got my number and a girl(sounded like 14 years old) started to talk about the financial markets 🙂
I asked her a question: ” Can you tell me when is the swap charges?”
After 10 sec pause, she said that they do not have a swap hahaha
After that, the manager switched(obviously he was listening to the call) and guess what, he said that their swap was 20%!!!! Unbelievable!
It means that if you keep your trade opened for 5 days you will zero the account…
Really try to stay away from these people…really!

I think the same. The thing is when people travel, it is good to have access to the EAs, not just to monitor them. I have many MetaTraders installed as well but recently I keep the 2 live accounts on a VPS so when I travel I have access to Experts.

Hope you and your team are fine! I was wondering if there will be an update with the EA Studio regarding the new changes on the Acceptance criteria in OOS and the Walk forward. I see that when I run OOS with the Walk Forward I do not get the green line as in the courses. I guess this is because of an update.

what I think happened is you hit the chance. It just happened that the generator on the slow computer first met strategies that meet your acceptance criteria. Give it a try couple of more times. The same test, just repeat it a few times like 5-10. I think the faster ones will get better results.

yes, this might happen very often when you trade while news.
You know what? When we generate strategies with EA Studio or FSB Pro we actually use the complete Historical data we god. It includes the news, right? This means that the generator finds SL that work while news. These news happened many times during the data. And when you trade in the future, the news will happen again (of course they are not the same, but they are similar, their effect on the price is similar). So we should expect to get well over the news, even there will be times when the SL is hit.
I normally avoid those as well. There were traders sharing in the forum that they profit with such strategies. I think it was for the Gold…
Anyway, if the strategy passes the Monte Carlo and it is not over-optimized for such SL or TP I think it worths trying it.
Ye, recently I use a bit more the profit factor, but give it a try, use different things, experiment. This is the way that you will find your trading style.
