You are welcome, Andi! Glad I made this clear. R-squared is a bit more complicated statistical method, and you are very welcome to ask questions.
For me, EA Studio is the only was nowadays that a trader can have profits with Expert Advisors. All the rest is scam and illusion.
Iām in the new course too. Yes, EA Studio updates all the time, and I was very happy when Petko started with these videos because this way we can catch it up.
Just took the trading course for the Aussie and I will watch it this afternoon. Petko has always something new to teach and show, which makes each of his trading courses unique.

Yes, is FSB Pro the collected strategies go to repository. There is no separate tab for collections as in EA Stuido.

here is my answer. When we use the OOS the complete backtest is the sum of In Sample and Out of Sample part. But, if we select r-squares higher than 70 for example, this does not mean that In Sample will be above 70 or Out of Sample will be above 70. Actually, it could be much lower. See example:
That is why in the course I teach that it is good to place values for the In Sample part, and for the Out of Sample part, and at the same time for the Complete Backtest. This way we will make sure that each part will have smooth equity line.

very nice of you to share your story. I was in a very similar situation with developers, and not with just a few EAs, but many. I spent about 2 years working with developers before getting to know FSB Pro and EA Studio. That was the hardest period in trading for me.

I agree with you that if you do trading as a hobby or part-time job, laptop + computer is more than enough. Forex VPS is really not needed.

did you trade the 4 months with the same Expert Advisors or the same portfolio?
If, yes did you optimize them?
If no, did you create similar EAs every month? How those in the first two months were different from those in the 3rd and the 4th month.

Yes, these stats came with the recent update and if you use them properly, you can filter you Expert Advisors, and increase the trading portfolio profitability.
Maybe this way the generator works. It works first on the In sample part, tests the strategies, and then confirms with the acceptance criteria for the complete backtest.
I did not know about these statistics. They are so useful! I Will have a look now at all of my EAs, and I am sure that the trading portfolio profitability will increase, if I eliminate the not balanced strategies.
