ParticipantHello Roman,
I am Slavi, and I am new to the Forum and the Academy. It is a really great place to learn algorithmic trading without IT experience by the way 🙂
What you share is very interesting, I will try to learn from your mistakes, and from the mistakes of the others. I am sure I will have some, it is impossible to go perfect… anyway thanks for sharing.
Have a great day!

ParticipantHello Petko,
the last months I am watching all of your courses, but these last two are really awesome! Thanks for sharing all this information!

ParticipantHello all,
My name is Slavi, and I joined the academy a few months ago. I want to say that having EA Studio is one of the best purchases I have done in the last years. I am still on it, and I hope next month I will start learning more the FSB Pro.
So far I have tested over 30 Robots from the market place with these fancy names, I have spent over $2k and my results were really frustrating. In the end, I decided to take the automated trading software EA Studio even I was skeptical about it. Now, I do not regret even a single day.
However, I have a few questions:
1. When exporting Portfolio Expert Advisors why there is no option for MT5?
2. What is the difference between Walk Forward Optimization and Full Data optimization?
Thanks indeed!

ParticipantHello Viran,
I see on your chart that you have the EAs attached but the magic numbers in FX Blue are different from the names of the EAs that you have in MT.
Did you by some chance change those? Please, click on each expert advisor with a right mouse – expert advisors – properties. Go to inputs and scroll down. Do you see the same magic number as the names of the EAs in MT or the same as FX Blue.
If it is the same as FX Blue it means you changed them somehow.
If it is the same as the names on MT, you might be using some time filter on FX Blue and see actually older EAs. Right up corner, you have Filter. Check this as well.
Let me know.

ParticipantHello Viran,
When you link your account with FX BLue on the very right side you see the magic number. This is what we use to identify the strategies or EAs.
If you use Portfolio Experts, you will have by defoult magic number of 100. After that, the software will add automatically magic numbers to each strategy. This means it will start from 100000, 100001, 100002..and so on. This way you can recognize which strategy of the Portfolio Expert is losing, and which one is profitable.

ParticipantHey Ian,
Good point here. I agree with you in 100%. These moves are not from the retail traders. If you look at how the price reached 13k, it is much faster then in 2017…anyway, you are right. When trading with EAs it does not really matter.Petko Aleksandrov
ParticipantActually, these people make more money than the average trader does…I am not sure if they sleep calm and how they handle the conscience.
Petko Aleksandrov
ParticipantYes, this system is suitable for any trading asset because it uses price action. With other words, it ‘reads’ market players’ behavior.
Again, the best thing would be to test it all on a Demo first, no matter which asset you want to trade.

ParticipantHello Centcel,
the guys have you good answers. The problem is with the data obviously.
What you can do is to use the MetaTrader-Demo data that is in EA Studio. It has many bars. You will be able to create good strategies. As you see in most of my courses I use exactly this data. Also, it updates automatically.

ParticipantHey Van,
give it a try 🙂 See how it goes. Experimenting is how you get to successPetko Aleksandrov
ParticipantHey Petko!
Thank you for the updates! Please, tell me how you succeed to make these strategies? I backtested one of the new USDCAD EA and here is the result:
You have 2300 count of trades(something I have not seen so far) and R-squared above 92??? That’s amazing!
I wish I will learn to create such EAs soon by myself!
Till then I will use yours 🙂
Thanks!

Participant9. Algorithmic trading strategies Top 10 USDCAD EAs
I have just updated the 10 EAs for the USDCAD from the course. Some of the parameters were changed but these are the same strategies.
Let me know if you have any questions.
Kind regards,
Petko Aleksandrov
ParticipantAll the EAs are set to the accounts. Thanks for the updates!

ParticipantI got the courses as well. The Bitcoin price action system could be applied to the other cryptos? Gold and Oil?
Petko Aleksandrov
ParticipantHey Petko! This makes it much clearer to me. I never noticed actually that the trades are opened after the bar opens. 🙂
Normally in manual trading, the strategies use bar closing. For example, one EMA is considered to be crossed if the bar closes above/below. Why it is different here?
