There is nothing in the terms and conditions that says anything about more than one trader using the same third party EA’s.

    Terms & Conditions

    5. RULES OF DEMO TRADING
Section 5 discuses the rules for demo trading.  This is not about the Free Demo Trading.  The Challenge and Verification phase is called demo trading and this is what section 5 is discussing.

You are not doing anything wrong. My FTMO V5.0 EAs are doing the same. This is due to the markets going through a period of stagnation. The markets will soon start trending and the EAs should start showing profits. Hang in there!

    Petko has now launched V5.1.

That means you can only have a maximum of 400K account.  So if you have multiple FTMO accounts the total capital cannot be more than 400K.  It has nothing to do with the total capitalization of multiple users.

Yes this is a good idea.  Please be mindful however that there will be some difference between the performance of Eightcap and Blueguardian as their historical data will be somewhat different.  As an example, the top 3 EAs in Eightcap might only be the top 2 in Blueguardian, or you might see 5 trades in Eightcap but 6 trades in Blueguardian over the same period of time.  You really cannot tell what the differences will be but I just want you to be aware the performance could be somewhat different but don’t let this deter you from what you want to do.  Remember, nothing is guaranteed in trading we can only see possibilities.  Be consistent and over time you will be profitable.

That is a good to try different things to see what works best.  Good exercise.  Happy to hear you are being creative and not just following what someone else does.  Good job.

I do the Monte Carlo using ExpressGenerator (EG).  When I import into EA Studio I do not do the Monte Carlo as it was already done in EG.  The reason I do the OOS in EA studio is because you still have to import the strategies into EA Studio to create the EAs so why not just do the OOS there.  Plus, it allows me to do various filtering on the collection to find the strategy I want to use.  Anyway, that’s the way I use it.

The way I do it for example is as follows: In expressgenerator I will create strategies for 01/01/2020 through 10/01/2023. Then I will import the strategies in EA Studio with the date set from 1001/2023 through today. The result is the OOS test. It will not be green but it is an OOS result since the strategy was created from 01/01/2020 through 10/01/2023 and EA Studio is testing out of that sample.

I like to use Dukascopy as their historical data does not have any gaps in the candles or missing candles!  It is a premium historical data.  It is also what EA Studio uses for historical data.

FYI – What I do when trading with prop firms that does not have a demo account I will open a live account and use it to test my EAs.  I then set the lot size to 0.01 lots so that the testing of EAs doesn’t change the account balance too much.  I’m not suggesting this for you I am just sharing how I handle such circumstances just for your information :o)

Answer to question 1) Petko uses one week to determine top performers so a 14 day free trial would be sufficient. I prefer to demo test for one month to determine top performers. In this case you can use two 14 day free trials.

Answer to question 2) Same answer as above.

Answer to question 3) When the EAs are created they are tested for various spreads. However, the historical data between various brokers and prop firms will be different. Commission variation will result in profit variations. The performance of an EA will be different when used with various brokers and prop firms. My recommendation is to test the EA on the same broker or prop firm you plan to use for live trading.

The historical data is different with FTMO.  To create EAs for FTMO you should use FTMO data.

As long as the little hat in the upper right corner of the charts are blue then the EAs/robots are running. They may take as long as a day bdfore you start seeing some new trades develop.
