I have two open and six closed trades over the last week on a FREE FTMO demo account.  You most likely have an issue with the installation of the robots.

    Hi Tyler,

Your account has lost 20%, or  40,000 EUR, of its equity and is now at the same dollar level as the Minimum Equity in the EA Properties dialog box.  So to protect your account from further loss the EA is removed from the chart so it can no longer place losing trades.  To allow your account to start placing trades again you will need to change the Minimum Equity from 160000 to a smaller amount.

If you leave the setfile values as is your risk and profits will be about 10% less when the currency is in EUR.  If you want to change it just increase the lot size by 10%.

Sorry, I don’t use Myfxbook so I cannot address your concern.  Someone else will have to address your concern or you can contact [email protected].

Yes!  So before restarting the MT4 or MT5 terminal check all your open trades to make sure they are not close to their TP or SL.

When you restart your MT4 terminal the open trades will remain open.  The only problem I see is if you have an open trade that is very near hitting its TP.  So, if while restarting the terminal and the market moves to the price of your TP price level the open order will not be closed because the terminal is not able to send the TP signal to the brokers server.  So, as long as none of your open trades are not close to a TP or SL price there is no problem with restarting your terminal.

During the weekend any open trades you have will remain open.

“@Alan – So from Petko’s comment above. If I stick to the no.1 top performing EA of the last 2 weeks (out of all FTMO robots) and just use it with given set file/settings without changing any parameters in it, would that be enough to pass a challenge?”

If you follow the instructions it is all you need to do to pass the challenge.  It doesn’t mean you will pass the challenge on your first challenge.  Petko has failed challenges but by retaking the challenge and following the instructions he has eventually passed the challenge.  The instructions tell you what to do, the instructions do not guarantee you will pass the challenge everytime you take the challenge.  However, if you take the challenge multiple times you should pass the challenge the majority of the time.

In trading there are no guarantees of winning everytime you place a trade.  If there were guarantees we would all be rich.  The phase I use is “In trading there is no guarantees of success, only probabilities!”  By following the instructions we increase the probability of success.

UPDATE ON MY FTMO STRATEGY V5.1

After two days of testing Petkos’ FTMO v5.1 robots on a FREE FTMO demo account the following are my results:

The top performer seems to be EURAUD but it is still an open trade.  I cannot count it as the TOP EA until the trade is closed.

Please note this is an update of my strategy how I trade Petkos’ FTMO V5.1 robots.

    Hi Anthony,

I would also suggest you take the same EA and let it decide to take a long or short trade without your intervention.  Then compare the results between letting the EA make the decision to go long or short to the EA where you make that same decision.

To get all 8 of the current FTMO robots you need to purchase them from the eatradingacademy website.

“No trade are apen- I get a mesage in the JUORNAL -invester mode [trades are not allowed]”

The Journal is saying you are in investor mode.  This is why trades are not allowed.  Contact your broker to resolve this issue.  Evidently your broker gave you the investor password and not the master password.

Try logging into MetaTrader with the master pw and not the investor pw.

I would close MT5 and restart as well.  You might even try completely uninstalling MT5 from your pc, re-download MT5 from FTMO, and re-install.
