    Hi Glaston,

Sorry I see that after the trading disabled error message I see where it says auto trading enabled today.  So the robot looks like it is working.  Test the robot by backtesting with the Strategy tester.  If the backtest shows it is taking trades then just give it some more time to place a trade on your live account.

The error message says auto trading disabled because the account has been changed.  Have you removed the robots from the charts and reattached to the charts?  If not try that!  Maybe even close MT4 after removing the robots.

    Hi Gleston,

I am also using the FTMO V6.0 robots with Infinity forex funds.  I have 4 robots with open trades:

    audchf.i
    audusd.i
    eurusd.i
    xauusd.i

Maybe you need to remove the robots and reinstall.

    Hi Denis,

The historical data for each broker or prop firm is somewhat different as there is no clearing house where all the brokers/prop firms get their historical data.  So each broker / prop firm has to get the trading data directly from banks.  Since not all brokers / prop firm gets their data from the same banks causes the historical data between various brokers / prop firms to be different.  Also not all brokers / prop firms will use the same spreads.  For these and other reasons Expert Advisors/robots will not all take trades or close trades at the same time.

    Hi Denis,

USDCAD has opened and closed 2 trades this week and currently has 1 open trade.  The trade I was referring to in the above reply was the one opened on 1/22/2024 and closed on 1/23/2024.  The USDCAD that opened on 1/23/2024 and closed on 1/24/2024 ended in a loss.  The current open trade is also in a losing position.  Which of these 3 trades are you referring too?

    Hi Denis,

The FTMO V6.0 USDCAD robot was closed automatically by the robot with a 1% profit.

    Hi Nake,

The choice is yours when it comes to deleting all old robots and installing new.

One strategy would be to remove all old robots and install the new ones. Another strategy would be to keep the top performing robot and just install the top 2 new robots. And, another would be to keep the top 2 robots and install just the top 1 new robot. A final strategy would be to replace all robots with new ones.

So which strategy is best? You could open 4 demo accounts and test each strategy to determine strategy that works best for you.

As a new trader you might just remove all the old robots and replace with the new ones.

    Hi Richard,

I am happy to hear you backtested the EA before attaching it to a chart. This is the first thing every trader using EAs should do. Always backtest before using. If you see a blue hat in the upper right corner of the chart then the EA is setup properly and should start trading. The next thing a trader should do is to adjust the lot size for the risk to the account the trader is willing to accept. Professional traders never risk more than 2% on any one EA and if more than one EA is being traded on the account will never risk more than 6% to the account.

    Safe trading,
    Alan

    Hi Craig,

I think this is an issue with MT5.  I think I have seen this problem before and I thought I heard it was fixed.  I will forward this to support.

    Hi Richard,

Yes, that was the reason you were getting 2 open trades for the same currency pair.  You will now only get one open trade for each currency pair.

    Hi Richard,

On second thought I don’t think the hedging account is the problem.  Do you have Metatrader running on both your home pc and on the VPS?  Do you have the robots running on both the home pc and the VPS?
