ParticipantHi Gleston,
I asked the support team to take a look at your issue. However, in the mean time I did a backtest using EA Studio, which is the same way the FTMO app works. The following shows the results of the backtest and gives an idea of how many trades AUDCHF made over the last one month. To me it looks like AUDCHF is working properly on your 8cap account. The problem appears to me that AUDCHF just has not placed any trades lately.

ParticipantHi joko,
If you do not want to use the daily protector or account than just set them to zero.

ParticipantHi Paul,
Good job so far!
I would wait until the account has a profit of 3% before increasing risk to 2%. The reason for this is if your account has a drawdown of 2% you would still have a 1% profit.
Changing out GBPAUD for AUDUSD may be a good idea as it has larger profit last week. However, that does not mean AUDUSD will be more profitable than GBPAUD next week. It is your choice. Oh, the choices we traders have to make! :o(

ParticipantHi Ryan,
The other robots are not shown because they had no trades for the last one week. What you should be looking at it the top row as these are the top 3 performers for the last one week.

ParticipantHi Kevwefreeb,
Here is the thing about trading: As traders we look at past performance to determine if the instrument we want to trade is in an uptrend. We then expect the trend to continue so we place a trade. However, no one knows with 100% confidence if the trend will continue in the future. Have you ever looked at the stock market? Normally it will go higher but there are times when it goes down. However, over the long term the stock market continues to mover higher and higher.
The same thing applies to Expert Advisors or EAs/robots. Expert Advisors are created based upon the past performance of currency pairs. The majority of times these EAs will be profitable. However, there are times when EAs will go through a drawdown. How do we handle this? The way we handle this is with consistency. A successful trader will keep trading knowing that as long as he/she is consistent they will be profitable over the long term. You can never be a successful trader if you do not continue trading over the long term. So continue to trade on a demo account until you feel you have become a successful trader and then move on to a live account.
Hope this brings new encouragement to you!

ParticipantHi Bob,
Here is what I do:
If the current EA I am trading have been profitable over the last one to two weeks it tells me the EA is in a profitable trend and I want to continue to let it trade. I would only replace the EA with new EA if the backtest shows it has been more profitable over the last one to two weeks.
If I have an EA with a DD I would look to see how long it has been in a DD. If the DD is only for one or two days I would keep trading it as all EAs will have periods of DD’s and then continue on to be profitable. However, if the DD is more than two days then it is telling me the EA is in a downward trend and I would replace it.

ParticipantHi Richard,
I look for a Profit Factor of at least 1.2 because it tells me the strategy is profitable.
I look for a Drawdown of less than 10% because the deeper the drawdown the longer it takes to recover the loss.
I look at the count of trades as this tells me how active is the strategy.
I look at Profit as I can take it and divide it by the number trades so I can forecast expected profits in the futureSo I am looking for an active strategy, the profitability of the strategy, quickly recovery from a drawdown, and expectation of future profits.

ParticipantHi PFX,
The FTMO app was developed to show traders which robots are the top performers for each time period so traders would not need to do the backtesting themselves. However, it is still the responsibility of each trader to decide how to use this information as Petko has stated this organization is not a signal provider.

ParticipantHi Richard,
Links to other websites are not allowed on the forum and was deleted in your post above. The forum was developed so traders could get together to discuss their trading, FTMO successes and failures, set files, and success stories. By using this forum allows ALL traders have the same opportunity to learn from others.

ParticipantHi gabiscriba,
If the strategy of waiting for the top 3 performers to develop, which at this point I am thinking may not develop before Petko updates the robots again, maybe a different strategy is in order. Or, maybe just wait for the next update.

ParticipantHi gabiscriba,
Petko does a similar thing by increasing risk on his top performers. Petko has a scaling up plan he developed and uses to scale up with his top performers. He shows how to do this in his “The Complete FTMO Challenge” course. I think I can remember his sharing the scaling up plan in the 21 day course. Basically Petko will wait until he has 3% profit and then will double his risk from 1% to 2% such that if his account draws down it will only draw down a maximum of 2% leaving his top performer with a worst case of 1% profit. Petko has used his scaling up plan in some of the earlier FTMO robot versions. Petko uses his scaling up plan to pass the challenges more quickly and has passed challenges using the scaling up plan and has shared this on the forum in the past. So I think Pranav is following Petko’s scaling up strategy by doing a similar thing.

ParticipantHi Tanyeem,
This is an individual trader decision. Here is what I normally do. If my EA has an open profitable trade I will normally keep it open over the weekend. This allows my EA to continue to profit from the current favorable market conditions. However, if my open trade is close to hitting the TP I will normally go ahead and close the trade. However, if my current EA is in a losing position I will normally close the trade on Friday. This will allow my EA to start a new position the following week.
