    Hi Joe,

What TP’s and SL have you set for your pairs? Are they realistic for that pair?  I had to change my settings to suit the trading that I wanted out of it. Maybe check your settings for TP and SL and R:R.

    I don’t use TSL’s, so I can’t answer that one sorry.

    Hi everyone,

I wanted to share some insights based on my own testing of the Top 5 EA from The Prop Firm Bot, which I’ve been using on over 25 FTMO trial accounts with varying balances: 10K, 25K, 50K, and 100K.

I used the default settings for these trials, and what I’ve found is that as the account size increases, the Bot tends to hit the equity protection levels, particularly on the higher-tier accounts (50K and 100K). This is where the issue arises—there seems to be no recovery mechanism that I know of once this equity protection is triggered, and the trades are closed.

Unfortunately, despite reaching out to EA Trading Academy Support, I have not received any solutions or feedback. It has been over 2 months since I first contacted them, and still, no response. I’m beginning to wonder if this issue is something that others are experiencing as well.

If anyone has found a workaround or received any helpful updates from support, I’d love to hear your thoughts!

    Thanks for reading!

Another idea:   download the bots, do a backtest, than come back 3 months later and do another backtest. If the bot is still profitable than you probably have a better chance that the bot will stay profitable for some time.
In general these bots are quite over-optimized, with a high likelyhood of failure when starting live.  The fact that they now indicate which part of the equity curve shows out of sample data is also helpfull in selecting bots that have a track record in live-conditions.

I wanted to test your free robot before making a purchase. But it seems to download a source file as opposed to an EA, please can you help on this. I’m keen to try all your robots but want to try this first.

    Thank you.

So if I run a back test on Eightcap for example I should get the same chart as shown on the Prop Firm Robots page?

Question about Propfirm App: If you install several EAs on one account, how does the risk calculation work?

Hi @Guenther, the risk you set is per individual EA, meaning the more EAs you put on the account the higher risk you take.

For example, if you trade 3 EAS with mid risk (1%), you will be risking 3% from the initial account balance as this is the value which you set when exporting the EAs from the app.

    Hi  Marin,

“For example, if you trade 3 EAS with mid risk (1%), you will be risking 3% from the initial account balance as this is the value which you set when exporting the EAs from the app.”

I hope you’re doing well. I have a question regarding the Prop Firm Robot. I am running three of the top Prop Firm Robot EAs from EA Trading Academy on a low-risk setting of 1%, but I’ve noticed that the overall risk appears to be around 3%.

My understanding was that the Prop Firm Robot was designed to run 3 to 5 favorite EAs, and that the total risk across all of them should not exceed 1%, not 3% or 5%. Can you please confirm if this is correct? Additionally, was this risk distribution clearly mentioned in the Terms & Conditions of the EA?

I’d appreciate your clarification on this matter.

Hi, I wanted to get some clarification on how these EAs operate as FTMO has strict restrictions in this regard, in fact I asked them for information and they replied like this:

“EAs are allowed as long as they don’t interfere with legitimate trading, exploit practices intended to harm us or misuse the Evaluation Process or FTMO accounts in any way.

If you intend to use trading robots (Expert Advisors – EAs), remember that if you use an EA from a third party, other traders might already be using the same EA and, therefore, exactly the same strategy. Using a third-party EA, you risk being denied the Demo FTMO Account if you exceed the maximum capital allocation rule in fictitious funds, which is $400,000 USD in Demo FTMO Accounts per trader or strategy.

You can use copy trade between your personal accounts and FTMO accounts.
However, please note that we do not allow account management, so you need to trade any FTMO accounts on your own.

Besides, if you use copy-trading services to perform copy-trading, please note that they are third-party applications. We do not offer copy-trading services, so you need to do your own research and use them at your discretion.

Also, note that we have the Max Capital Allocation set at $400,000 of fictitious funds for one FTMO Trader or one strategy. So after passing the Evaluation process, you can have a maximum of $400,000 of simulated funds for all of your demo FTMO Accounts (prior to the Scaling plan and Premium Programme). ”

So using the EAs provided by you doesn’t easily risk not being paid by FTMO?

There is an option to randomise the the SL TP and variables of the EA when you download it so it is unique to you and your trades will not be the same as others using the same robot.
Good idea to do a back test to see if the randomisation hasn’t completely screwed he EA though.

    Hi Everyone,

With a lot of Prop Firms now doing interviews as part of the challenge process what is the best was to describe the trading strategy we use when running the Prop Firm robots? I was asked this by Funded Next and got stuck for words and therefore lost the challenge. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
