KeymasterYou might need EA Studio for that to modify the strategy but the end result will be a completely different EA with a different performance.

KeymasterThe robots will close the trade either when they hit the TP, SL or they receive a signal from the indicators from the underlying strategy. In your case the last happened and that’s why the trade was closed.

ParticipantLooking at this on the monthly it stats say
Drawdown 4.09%
but if you look at the graph is has clearly had 5 losing trades in a row which should be 5% if using 1% risk?
December 2, 2024 at 2:49 pm #381907Marin Stoyanov
KeymasterHi Zafar, the 5 losing trades are from 5 different days as you can see from the chart. Also before and after that there were profitable trades. Another thing to keep in mind is that a strategy may close the position before reaching the SL if it receives confirmation from the indicators. Also some strategies have trailing stop loss.

ParticipantCan anyone help or send me the link which explains how to install EA to MT4 0r MT5. I have other EA’s which I can install but the one i downloaded from the prop firm app does not seems to work

KeymasterHi @Ali, there are video guides that you can access on the order confirmation page and from the order confirmation email. Also on the top right section of the app (where’s the YouTube icon), you can follow the link to watch the video guides as well. You can read this article which covers the process as well.
Don’t forget that you need to compile the robots before you place them on the trading account.

Keymaster@david_klahnhotmail-com, the news filter is turned on by default and set to “High only”. You can change it from the expert properties. This option no longer can be controlled from the app interface.

ParticipantHey everyone,
I’ve been testing a Prop Firm BOT on FTMO demo challenges, and I keep running into the same issue: the bot consistently fails to trail itself out and hit the profit target.
It seems to handle some trades well but struggles with maintaining momentum toward the profit goal without overstepping the max loss or daily drawdown limits. I’ve tried tweaking the risk settings, modifying the strategy slightly, and even optimizing for different market conditions, but I’m still not getting consistent results.
So here’s the most important question: How do you configure or adjust a Prop Firm BOT to effectively trail its way to the profit target while staying within the rules?
I’d really appreciate any advice, insights, or specific setups that have worked for others in a similar situation. Thanks in advance for sharing your expertise!
Looking forward to hearing your thoughts!
Regards
Joe

MemberNeed some help please as currently failing a challenge, been running various of top performing robots, with standard prop settings (100k, 5% daily loss, 10% total loss, 0.5% risk, 1% randomization) seeing losses increasing. I appreciate markets are turbulent at the minute, however top weekly, monthly and yearly bots are all hitting stop loss.
Any advice on set up or EA selection to see some winners?
EAs tried;
BTCUSD 1655393512, EURGBP 1566083423, EURGBP 866858613, GBPUSD 1518858353, USDJPY 1832248228, XAGUSD 1984165622, XAUUSD 1611800265

ParticipantHi Louie, were you able to solve the issue? I am facing the same problem with different eas. For example with gold 465 which inin the first 5 of monthly, 1 of 1 or 5 Years (i’m not sure) but today it started 6 trades and all hit sl. 🙁

ParticipantNot sure if this helps but I had the same problem for past couple of months just trading top 3 monthly or yearly bots. what i,m doing now is trading the top 10 on 2 demo’s (one top 10 yearly the other top 10 monthly) at 0.5% risk and am currently up 4% profit in 1 week. Also closing some trades out early seems to have helped me.

ParticipantUSDJPY is in an uptrend, need to focus on Buys, not sells. GBPUSD is in a downtrend, need to focus on sells. Does the EA that you’re using allow to only trade one direction? You may need to set it to that. Always take a look at the higher timeframes before letting these loose on your money. 🙂
