Prop Firm Robots: General questions

It would be really great if the bots that do get removed go to another page of some sorts where we can still track them. The Robots are being changed frequently based on market conditions. I have robots that I am still running on my portfolio that have not been on the app for a few weeks already and they have still been performing well.

Hi Vincent,

If you’re seeing the blue hat in the corner of the chart, the EA has attached successfully. If the EA didn’t place a trade when it was supposed to, this must be down to the broker or settings. I’d suggest running a backtest for the last week or 2 and see if it should/would have opened a trade on FTMO. If it does have a trade in the backtest, the problem lies with the broker not executing the trade.

The process is as follows:
The Express Generator runs 24 hours a day, creating EAs based on certain criteria. Every Saturday, the Collections – old and new are analyzed and the best strategies are added to the app. The older strategies don’t disappear or get deleted, they’re kept and analysed weekly. Should one of the older strategies perform best on the backtest in that week, in relation to the others, it will be re-added.

But, if you’ve downloaded the ‘old’ robots, and you have them trading on a another account – demo or otherwise – you still have access to them and can use them at any time.

Hi,

in the setting Daily Reset Hour(Terminal) is supposed to put the reset hour according to the time zone of the VPS right? For example the prop firm account is running on a mt5 terminal on a VPS which is set to NYC local time. The reset hour of the prop firm is 17 EST, it means I have to put 17 into that setting is that correct?

The daily reset time will be according to the prop firm/broker’s server time.

Hi Guys

I am trading some PROP firm EAs on a demo account, and Im interested to learn the principles behind the strategies. Can you please recommend a course from your list that will explain the indicators and and the reasoning behind the strategies (EAs), and what to look out for when you create the EAs.

Secondly, is there a difference in performance when you trade a demo account vs a live account. Will the market conditions on a live account be more volatile and what should i look out for.

lastly, Once an EA is removed from the Pop Firm App, can it continue to trade profitably.

Hey Guys,

Just been it with massive Drawdown SL hit couple of hours ago on my FTMO 200k demo account. Lastest 10 robots where downloaded on Sunday, all settings are default. Noticed the robots are hedging the trades is it recomended to stop hedging the trades and how can one go about doing that, as I cant see an option to select in the EA setting. I understand that the US elections play a part but wasnt expecting such DD. Any tips advise would be much apprecatted. TIA

I have the same issue! On which criteria did you choose the bots (e.g. best 5 bots per month?).

I will continue with much less risk 0,5% or even 0,25%..
