ParticipantHi Jia,
the “hat” icon in the top right corner is not blue, which indicates that you probably need to enable algo trading first.
Go to Tools -> Options -> Expert Advisors -> “Allow Algorithmic Trading”
Furthermore when you add the EA to the chart, also set the flag “Allow Algo Trading” in the popup window.
Hope that helps!

ParticipantHi Jia,
from your screenshot everything looks fine now!
The bots will open approx 1-2 trades per day, so please have a little patience… 😉
Best,
Sandor

Keymaster@natedee you can’t expect equal trading in 2 different accounts, especially if one of them is demo and the other one is different (e.g. challenge). That’s because of the different quotes provided by every broker, and also they provide different quotes on demo and live accounts as well.
The next thing you should consider and double-check is if the prop firm offers the same leverage for the assets you’re trading on your demo account. For example with BTCUSD, The5ers offers 1:2 leverage for the asset, FTMO offers 1:3 on the standard account and 1:3 on the swing account, FundedNext offers 1:1 leverage and etc. If your demo account is with some regulated broker, for example BlackBull offers 1:100 leverage for BTCUSD at the moment. So the leverage can affect the trading – with low leverage the BTCUSD can’t open trades because there is not enough margin.

Keymaster@dominikdorner, the EAs from the app open trades at the opening of the M15 bar so you should use the Open Prices Only for the backtest. Also when you run the backtest, check how much bars the broker offers for the asset you’re backtesting. Another thing to double-check is that the account size you’re backetsting on is the same there robots are created for – for example if you downloaded EAs for a $100k account, you should backtest them on such account.

KeymasterHi, without more context it’s difficult to say what happened. I suppose the account is closed and we can’t look into it in detail to understand the issue.
You might have global variables (under Tools > Global Variables) that affected the protections or if you were disconnected from the Internet (if trading on a local PC, or for some reason your VPS was disconnected) this would also prevent the EAs from working.
Without looking into the account, I can only guess.

KeymasterThanks Sandor, indeed most of the EAs have a few trades per week. One can estimate that by looking at the count of trades on the 1W (weekly) charts and have a better understanding of what to expect.
Another way to debug any potential issues is by looking at the Experts and Journal tabs in the MetaTrader terminal where warning or error messages would point to any potential issues.

KeymasterSome prop firms offer very low leverage for crypto, which makes trading these assets with robots impossible. For example with FundedNext, their leverage for crypto is 1:1 which makes it impossible for the crypto robots to open any positions as there isn’t any margin at all.

KeymasterNo, nothing is changed in the generation process. The market is in huge downtrend lately and this might be the main reason why some assets don’t perform well at the moment.

ParticipantGood day EA Trading academy
I have been using the Prop firm robots & the USDJPY & XAUUSD Top 10 robots app for a couple of months now.
I must say that I have not been impressed with the overall performance and that the performance does not align with what is being showcased on the website. I do understand that the Set files posted in the Prop app and the Top 10 App are merely backtests and these do not gaurentee future success but I have also taken into my own hands to actually backtest the sets I am using on my Eightcap Standard account. Eightcap has great spreads and is one of the industry leading brokers. The backtest results come out very different compared to what is being posted on your website. I am using all of the correct settings for the backtesting i.e. 15 min timeframe, open prices only and I back test for the same periods i.e. 1 month, 1 year, 5 years and the results still come out very different.I would just like to know if anyone (Besides Petko) has had any success with the Prop Robots or Top 10 robots. Has anyone been seeing consistent profits and growth, has anyone actually passed phases of prop challenges and gotten funded with some payouts? I have been part of EA Trading academy for more than 1 year and I am yet to see this from anyone else besides Petko.
A detailed response and some advice/guidance would be a greatly appreciated.
Thank you

ParticipantSame nothing but losses and blown accounts. Had them for well over a year and they’ve never worked. Tried them on FTMO, 5ers and another one I car remember all multiple times. One 5ers account passes when silver was flying only to blow the funded account the next week. The results on YouTube are definitely not what really happens.
