ParticipantI’ve not had any luck with these EA’s either.
I put them on a brand new 25k challenge account and thought it would generate a safe return over a timeframe. So far it has not made a single profitable trade, hitting stop loss on 2/3 of the trades.
Strategy with this was to use low and medium risk top 3 EA’s for the previous week, checking against the monthly performances, so far this has not worked out. This week I have dropped the take profit pips in hopes it will take any small profit it can, but so far I have not had a single trade that was not negative.
Any ideas what can be done differently? Are the robots not supposed to be able to be used out of the box?

MemberHi Gavin,
what EAs are you talking about – the Prop Firm Robots?

ParticipantHi Boyan,
Yeah the prop firm robots. I’m currently using the top 3 for the week for 25k account
According to the EA download page, i should be seeing at least a bit of profit, but I’ve got nothing.

MemberHi Gavin,
thank you for sharing your experience. For how long have you been using those? I wonder why these Robots made the most profits on the challenges results page? Also Peko makes videos about passing challenges with those. I have a brand new FX2 Funding challenge which I have to start trading soon and I am not sure which robot to start with. I was planing to do it with the Forex Gold Investor, it was crushing it before the 12th of April. Not sure what to do now, I will maybe buy the Forex Diamond EA.

ParticipantI’ve got a similar problem, using the Prop firm robots as they are on a new 25k account, and they just seem to be tanking it including 4 triggered stop losses losing over 700 in a week. I am using the top 3 for the previous week, on either low or medium risk and just not getting any trades that are not negative.
Are the robots not fit for purpose or am i just doing something wrong? This week I have reduced the take profit pips in hope that it can at least trigger an earlier take profit – even if it is just tiny but nothing yet.
Here are the trades:
Current EA’s:
Can you tell me what I am doing wrong? Should it not be a plug-and play system? I really hoped I could use this on a larger account but looks like I may need to rethink that plan.

ParticipantHi Boyan,
Sorry I’m not sure where my previous comment went..
I am using the Prop Firm ones that are currently top 3 for low risk.
According to the EA page i downloaded them from, I am supposed to be at least a little bit profitable but so far.. nothing.
EURAUD M15 v6.0 #1486211416 – profit $198, drawdown 0.05%
USDCHF M15 v6.1 #1586270803 – profit $196, drawdown 0.49%
AUDCHF M30 v6.1 #1460069807 – profit $186, drawdown 0.13%
those are apparent returns, I am currently -$770, so either I am doing something wrong or these just do not work as advertised.

ParticipantHi Gavin,
The following link will send you to a 9 week series of comments on how I trade the robots I created with EA Studio on my Infinity Forex Fund challenge which is just a few hundred dollars away from getting funded. You can use the same workflow to trade the Prop Firm robots. If you study my workflow and apply it I am sure you can win a challenge. I am also using the same workflow on three other accounts.

ParticipantThanks Alan,
I’ll give it a try on the 25k account, if it gets saved, I’ll be happy but if not, I will just go back to other EA’s I am running on other challenges.

MemberHi Gavin,
I also thought the Prop Firm Robots are a set and forget solution and I don’t really have time to test, because I have only like 20 more days to start trading the FX2 Funding challenge. What other EAs do you use on challenges? Something more profitable?

ParticipantHi Boyan,
If you will read through my workflow, see link above, you will see I am forward testing on my Infinity Forex Fund challenge. You can use the same workflow with your FX2 challenge.

Participanthello, some prop firms add other letters to thier simbols, like EURUSDC, they put letter C after every simble and the robot cant read it, is there some adjustments we can do on the software to make it read it ?

ParticipantHi ahmadaboud,
The added characters after the symbol is just the brokers way of identifying the name of the chart. The robots do not read the chart name, they read the bars or candles on the chart. If you are using MT4 and see a smiley face in the upper right corner of the chart, or if you are using MT5 and see a blue hat in the upper right corner of the chart, then the robots are working correctly.

MemberHi Alan,
I took a quick look at you rworkflow, it looks very complex and time consuming. I am still new to forex trading and I thought if I would buy the Prop Firm Robots they would pass the challenge almost automatically and all I have to do is to check in the app week for week what are the top 1 -3 performers. Apparently it is not doable like this, maybe I will look for another solution. In this context I find videos like ‘The Prop Firm Robots Passed 100k Challenge Fully Automatically’ on the TA YT channel misleading.

ParticipantHi Boyan,
My workflow is not the only workflow in successful trading it is what I found works best for me. My workflow tests the robots and then increases the lot size on those robots that are profiting. It takes me about 30 minutes once every weekend to check which robots worked best the previous week and then to update the lot sizes. Then I am done for another week.
The workflow on the YT channel is what Petko uses. Petko takes robots shown to be profitable and put them on a challenge. If they hit profit target then that account gets funded. If he loses that account because of excessive draw down then he starts over with a new challenge. He repeats this process until the account gets funded.
While both of your workflows achieves funded accounts they are not the only ones that can be used to become a successful trader. Every successful trader has figured out the workflow that works best for them. I hope you too will figure out what works best for you.
