ParticipantI like the idea but be good to hear a moderators option tbh.
<p style=”text-align: left;”>That EU trade BTW has flown my entry lot was 1.44 and the profit is currently at 791.04. Amazing.</p>November 9, 2023 at 11:22 pm #2111850xBitpool

ParticipantI just got serious and setup a VPS and moved into that for bot v5. I also moved in bot v4.3 just for a running comparison over time. I would like to track it for awhile and then will put it on a real challenge. One thing that I’m still trying to wrap my head around is this: if I want to use the top 3 bots only at any given time – should I divide the recommended lots into thirds? Mainly I need to understand how to ensure the collective 3 bots cannot exceed a daily drawdown such as 3 percent.

ParticipantHi Dusktrader,
For the v4.3 EA’s just divide the recommended lot size according to you account size by 3. For example, for a 10K account the lot size is 0.33 lots. This will limit your risk if you are trading just one EA to 1%. So if you are trading 3 EA’s and you want to limit your account risk to 1% then you must divide evenly between the 3 EA’s. So each EA would then need to use 0.11 lots.
For V5 use the set files to determine the lot size for each of the three EA’s. Then divide each EA’s lot size by 3.

ParticipantHello Petko, I didn’t mean that it doesn’t work on MT5 at all. It just doesn’t work the SL function and the trend reversal. He goes either only in the sl or tp. He never leaves the trade sooner. On mt4, the bot works normally. I also let the bots run live for a week no problems on MT4 on MT5 it doesn’t work. others here have had the exact same experience.

ParticipantThe bots that are running in your screenshot are also not the same bots that you buy from FTMO bots.

ParticipantHello Benedikt,
I am a bit confused about what you are saying… 🙂
If you feel that MT4 is better, than use MT4. I can’t understand what you mean about the SL and the TP.
The strategies are exactly the same for both versions.

ParticipantPerfect, thanks for clarifying Alan. That is exactly how I thought it would work.

ParticipantI have two questions
regarding keeping trades over night or weekends.
My FTMO robot v5 took some trades today. They are in profit but i see quite high swap costs at FTMO Demo account. Should i closing them at least over the weekend?
Also i saw the TP at EUR/USD too far away.
Can i manually change TP and SL without affecting the Robots work? So i assist the robot a bit.
thanks & have a nice weekend
Andreas

ParticipantHi Andreas,
I always leave my trades overnight and weekends.
The EA’s are created to perform the best over the long term with the SL set a certain distance from the open price as shown in the EA properties box. However, you can at your own discretion change it.

ParticipantHi Everybody,
So, since I started using the FTMO Robot V5, my MT5 freezes every time. I have tried everything: closed all, reinstalled everything, checked my internet, and now I even paid for a VPS to let them run. However, my MT5 still freezes. Interestingly, it’s not my MacBook; this thing still works. I already tested the same on MT4, and there’s no issue. I contacted the MQL5 support, but they can’t help me. Do you guys have experience with this or know how to solve this problem? I can’t close MT5 every 5 minutes, and it’s also really slow since I installed the robot.
Thanks for Help! 😀
