ParticipantThe Maximum Equity Protection has been triggered. When this happens all open orders for that EA will be closed and the EA will be removed from the chart. To correct this go the the EA Properties dialog box and scroll down to the Max Equity Protection line and change the value to a lower amount.
Also I notice you installed the 100K EA on the chart. Is the demo account a 100K account? If not, you can correct the error problem by installing the EA that matches your account size.

ParticipantGoood evening. I have the same situation on my MT4 demo account. After 10 seconds the EA is removed.

If demo trading V6.0 make sure you downloaded the robots that match your account size.
If demo trading V5.1 make sure you load the setfile that matches your account size.

MemberHi, I just installed the FTMO bot on a demo account to see how she does. I am using the latest version.
I believe I have everything set up but have yet to see any trades, markets pretty terrible today anyway and I am not worried as my trial start doesn’t commence until I place a trade.
Couple of questions I had was:-
Do we need DLL imports enabled? In the video I watched it seemed to be off but in one of the comments above it is on?
Also in the bottom window under the Experts tab I see no data flowing, is this normal, as other EA’s I have used seem to be in constant chatter?Journal shows everything connected successfully.
Thanks in advance for your response and looking forward to seeing how things pan out! 🙂

ParticipantThank you Alan. Problem solved.

ParticipantGoing by the latest video on YouTube from Petenko, can I now confirm we don’t have to trial the robots to find the best working pair, we can just load all bots onto a challenge and get going?
paul4x
ParticipantI think that has now changed according to his last video, he said he had all bots running whilst doing the challenge. Can you confirm this is correct?
Alan Northam
ParticipantYou should watch the video again. The majority of the video describes how to set up the robots on an FTMO demo account and how to determine the top 1 and top 3 robots to trade. In one of his challenges he trades with just 1 robot and in a second challenge he trades with the top 3. Near the end of the video he then mentions he also passed a challenge by trading all 8 robots. If you decide to trade all 8 robots pay attention to the account risk.

ParticipantStill no trade opened on both the5er challenge account and IC market demo account. the older version works fine. but version 5 and 6 had no trades. What happened, pls answer Petko
Elna van Dyk
ParticipantI usually optimize in ICM and copy trade to my prop accounts, but it has been locked to just FTMO and when I tried to modify on EA builder I also could not modify it, making it very hard for me to use.

ParticipantMy bad , looks if I change tabs in EA builder it allows me to change broker

ParticipantHi Guys,
The 6.0V EA has been running, no trades taken yet I understand that the EA will only take valuable trades and volatility is still low. However, has anyone had any trades taken by the EA yet?
Should I just be patient and wait till next week to see how the EA plays out.
Thanks and good weekend.

ParticipantHi Robert,
You can do a backtest on each of the robots using the MetaTrader Strategy Tester. This will give you an idea when the last trades were taken and how often trades are taken. From this info it will give you an idea how long you may need to wait for each robot to take the next trade.
