    Hello Jay-R,

sorry for the late replay, I have missed somehow the new posts here. Thanks, Bart, for answering!

The difference is that in MT5 you can add to the position and in MT4 you will add another position.

For example, if you trade with 0.1 lot and you have a strategy that allows maximum to 0.3 lots, in MT5 you will see in your terminal 0.1 when the new signal comes, it will rise to 0.2, and then to 0.3. But in MT4 you will see 3 orders with 0.1.

I guess this is why he said that

    Hope that makes sense.

    Kind regards,

    Petko A

    Hey Jay-R,

I think I have answered to you that already. I do not keep looking always at the last 5 trades. This is the rule that I follow to move the EA from Demo to Live. After that I follow the profit factor to be above 1.2 looking at the whole performance from the beginning, switching over the last 1 month, and then switching over the last 2 weeks (from the filter in FX Blue) If those three show Profit Factor above 1,2 than I keep the EAs in my live. If any of the three shows below 1,2 (normally the last 2 weeks period, I would remove it.

If you keep looking just at the last 5 trades on the live, this is too short and you will remove some good EAs from your live account.

The idea of the 5 trades is to get on the train of the profitable phase and not to follow it on the live. At least that is my idea, but you can go for anything else that makes more sense for you….hope that makes sense.

    Kind regards,

    Hey guys,

yes, I am familiar with the program, but as far as I know, the guy does not support it anymore, no updates or anything. I am not sure if he still sells it.

From Forex Software they are working on something similar and better. The plan is to be released in 2020.

I will do my best all of our traders that have the Packages to get it for free. Someone has to test and give feedback, right? 🙂

Normally I would stop and give it more air after 10-15 min of no results. But yeah, it reaches 10k and no results are there, you better stop it, unless you do not want to run it for 10 hours and get a couple of strategies at the end.

I like what Petko says that it is better to have more strategies to choose from.

Also, you can generate more but get stricter in the additional criteria in the collection where you can filter more the strategies.

Hello Jay-R, how would you exclude the first trade?

    Hello Jay-R,

there is a great user guide about FSB Pro where you can find detailed information about each instrument: https://forexsb.com/wiki/fsbpro_guide/start

The data is the same as in EA Studio and in FSB Pro you can not create Portfolio EAs. It is a function available for EA Studio.

The more generators you run, the slower it will become but that will not affect the performance.

Regarding the last question…Petko should give the answer 🙂

    Hope that was useful 🙂

    Hey Jay-R,

as far as I know, you can not do that. The size is one for all of the strategies in the portfolio. If it was possible it would be in the input menu. I am sure they can add that, it is an idea, but that will bring you far away from the diversification.

Because if you increase the lot of one strategy it is the same as trading one expert advisor with higher lots in the account. But if that one starts to lose, it will bring you more losses and the others won’t be able to compensate because they are trading with smaller lots.

The idea of trading portfolio experts or many experts in the account is to have equal lots so there will be risk-diversification.
