    Hello Gianluca!

What do you mean by the EAs are not with the timeframes? When you watch the course you will see that the timeframes for the EAs are M5 and M15.

The time frames are within the Magic numbers of the EAs.

Let me know if you found it.

    Kind regards,

    Petko A

    Hello Charbel,

    Welcome to the Forum!

If you want to create scalping strategies, you need to have strategies with smaller SL and TP and also many numbers of trades.

    1. You can keep similar strategy settings to what I show in the courses as acceptance criteria, but just have over 1000 count of trades for example

    2. You can use here PF above 1.2 and min count of trades 1000

    3. Give it a try with M1 and M5. Use SL and TP range 5-20, pips, for example.

Let me know how it goes.

    Hey Petko,

I trust you are doing fine!

Any idea if we can expect to have the generated EAs from EA Studio to upload in FSB Pro?

I want to backtest trading strategy with more details in FSB Pro, and at the same time to add some higher timeframe filters.

    Hello guys,

something that I figured out recently and I wanted to share.

I use the OOS when generating the strategies with the reactor, and after that, I filter the strategies with the min count of trades.

This way, when generating strategies, I am already testing the EAs for the last 20% of the data(simulating the Demo account) and when I filter them with the min count of trades basically I get the robust strategies.

Plus the Monte Carlo is there of course. This way I feel much more comfortable…but it took me nearly 2 years to realize what should I be using for my self.

Yes, I know Petko showed that in some of the courses, but maybe I was not ready to accept it 🙂

    Hello Gon-co,

I did not understand what exactly is the issue? What do you mean by ” if I know the data of the wed of ea studio”?

    Hello,

Which data do you want to use? The data from your broker or the one that is from Ducascopy?

If you want your data, just use the script to export it. If you want the data from the Historical data app on the website, set the time zone to match with your broker and download it.

Let me know how it goes.

    Hello Simon,

That is a pretty good question.

It depends if the EA has already synchronized. And if the Demo and live will open the same trades.

It is up to you. What I would normally do is to give it a little bit of time. In the beginning, I look at the Demo, because there is not enough data on live, but when the rules are there I would be strict to remove it.

For example, if you look for min 5 counts of trades, I would wait for one more trade in the live account to see what would be the results. If it will meet my criteria or not.

we are just preparing the Trusted brokers page on our website. I believe it will be useful as well.

    Cheers,

    Hello James,

Glad to hear from you. EA Studio requires json files for the Historical data and the collection. Not for the Expert Advisors. I do doubt you can upload a purchased Expert Advisor in EA Studio because the source course will be different most probably.

Hard to say… I guess it depends on the strategy itself – for how long it keeps the trades opened and how often the new signals come.

If it is a strategy that scalps, it will synchronize quite fast. But if it keeps the trades a few days opened, it might take a week or even longer.

    Hey Simon,

I figured out that on the first day I used FSB Pro (EA Studio was not developed at that time).

This is why I mention this in most of my courses, so I will save time for the traders to try trading with 1:2 or even 1:3.

Anyway, I was never convinced in that story before the strategy builders. Just because it is more logical that the price will hit more often the TP if it is closer.

Anyway, the strategy builders give us the answer to HOW MUCH should be the SL bigger than the TP for each strategy. We can not do it otherwise. And we can not know it..

Oh, I get your point. Well, I can not say it with 100% certainty if something like that is possible. I never saw it with my eyes, honestly.

I have seen that brokers delay the execution of pending orders during the news—even a regulated broker.

But I guess if some broker does what you describe it will be a scammer. Because the regulated brokers take the prices from a couple of liquidy providers, and they take the average price. This is why most regulated brokers have very same prices.

I know that some of the worst scam brokers fake their prices to make their clients believe the TP was hit. This way, they ask them via phone to deposit more money.

    Hey Simon,

Richard gave you a great answer. I will point out some of his words that might be the reason.

In the first Demo account, the EAs are already trading when you activate the second ”fake demo”, which means that there are trades opened in the first account. When the second account gets active, it will open the first trade at the first signal that comes. At this time the trades in the first account are still opened.

Probably the opened trades in the first account ended up profiting, and the first trades in the second account ended up losing.

As Richard said, give it some time, and they will synchronize (when the EA in the two accounts does not have opened trades, the next signal will open the same trade in both accounts).

This is why I check in Monte Carlo to test for the different ”Backtest starting bar”. To make sure that whenever you start with the EA in the account, at one moment, they will synchronize and the overall performance will be similar/same.

Keep us updated on how it goes.
