    Hey Marek,

We had a look with the team and Petko, and everything looks fine.

Are you sure you have done it all right on the Live account?

Can you check if you have the smiley face in the right up corner?

If you have first placed the EAs and then enabled the Auto Trading, you might not see the smiley face, and you will have to do it again.

    Cheers,

    Desi I

    Hey Suraj,

yes, it could be a difference with the broker’s data. That is why there is the option in EA Studio to import your own data because the brokers offer a way to different quotes, which results in different Historical data.

I would suggest you generate EAs with your own data, instead of optimizing the EAs.

Also, you can use the Historical data from the Free App which we have on the website, and there is a video in there where I explain how to fit that data for your broker.

    Cheers,

    Hey Marek,

is the second account the same as the first one? Is it a Demo account with the same broker?

I guess not because for some reason it doesn’t open the trades. It is something from the broker of the second account.

Send me some screenshots. Also, from the journal of the second account.

    Cheers,

    Hello Leonard,

it is pretty hard to understand what you are trying to say… do you mean that you have missed a trade to apply the NLF and it is on a huge loss now?

Or you are trying to trade 3-4 EAs with the NLF at the same time. That would be a headache.

    Hey Alvinosj,

Glad to hear from you again. I got the picture now. The issue is most probably from the trade copier you use or the Slave accounts.

For some reason, it doesn’t allow higher lots there. Are there any settings in there? Check it out.

Definitely it is nothing to do with the EAs. They just send the signals to the account where you have placed them.

    Cheers,

    Hey Traders,

I have updated the Expert Advisors in the Top 10 GBPUSD Expert Advisors course.

Some of the EAs needed optimization. Some didn’t.

Of course, I have run robustness tests to check the new parameters. But these are the same strategies behind the Robots in just different settings.

Make sure to test first on a Demo account.

    Hello Alvinosj,

What are you using? MetaTrader with a broker?

Send me some screenshots so I can see better what you are doing. You can attach easily using the pic icon in the bar above the text box.

    Hey there,

It is really up to you. Usually, MetaTrader will allow you to put no more than 99EAs in one account. So you will need multiple MetaTrader platforms on your computer if you want to test the EAs from every new month.

We had a topic in the forum about how you can install many MetaTrader platforms:

Trade could not be closed due to FIFO violation

Now, I would suggest you not to make it too complicated.

Keep just two MetaTrader accounts (one simulating real trading). And test the new EAs that come every new month. Place in the second Demo, the EAs that perform the best at the moment. Fifty is a good number of EAs to test. It is enough 🙂

    Hey Jordy,

What exactly did you use? Was it Walk Forward Optimization or Walk Forward Validation?

And which video exactly yo have watched?

Keep in mind that the Walk Forward Validation just checks the strategy and it doesn’t change it.

While Walk Forward Optimization changes the strategy…

Sure, Faraz. Maybe it is a good idea to be mentioned in the EA Studio itself. I will ask Forex Software for such an update.

    Hey Suraj,

What Andi says is right. If you use my EAs on your broker’s data, just check if they do well. After that place them on a Demo and see which are the top performers. The OOS is useful when we generate new EAs.

Walk forward is a fantastic robustness tool but again when generating the EAs.

Simply, when you have ready EAs, all you need to do is to test them and decide which ones to place on a live account.

    Hello Faraz,

Glad to hear from you, and it is great to see people writing more and more in the Forum. That is so useful for everyone.

I use 10 as a spread but that is in points. This is 1 pip.

So you are fine to place 10, or even 20. Usually, I prefer to round it to a higher number.

If your the spread is 17 points(1,7 pips) I would use 20 in EA Studio. Especially for the floating type of spread.

    Hi Leonard,

When you have the trade opened by the EA,  you have two do two things:

    1. Remove the EA from the chart. Right click – Expert Advisors – Remove.

    2. Open the Pending order on the other side

The EA is meant just to open the trades, not to close them. This is for the Never Losing Formula, right? If yes, then you remove the EA, and the trades will close when the TP or the SL is reached.

Not a bad idea. I would only remove the OOS because these are ready strategies. You just want to see how they performed with your broker right? So you would like to see especially in recent months.

If you are generating EAs, then yes, OOS is awesome.
