ParticipantHello Dommech,
Glad to hear from you. I wanted to say from 10 to 100. This is normally what I use. Can you please share where was this post so I can correct it.
And if you choose always use in both from 10 to 100 it means that the generated strategies will always come with a SL and TP within this range.
If you select for example, may use, some of the strategies will be with SL and TP, some will be without. Those that are without will use exit conditions.

ParticipantHey Dommech,
I think you have messed it up when starting. Move the date in FX Blue forward so you can start from zero.
The first EA has one number of trade difference but the result is 100 difference? Did you check if the trades in live and demo match?
With the second EA you have 6 trades difference? Did you close those manually? I do not think, because they are 6.

ParticipantI think much better to have 2-3 desktop computer + laptop if you travel. Yeah, it is investment, but in longer term it will recover.

ParticipantHey Roman, I have tried it out and now I run the Reactor all the time! Even when i evaluate, select and filter strategies, I have it on 2-3 other tabs where it is running. 🙂

ParticipantHello Jacpin,
What you can do is tool for another broker which provides 0.01 lot trading with indexes.
For example, i trade the Forex pairs and the Indexes in one broker, and the cryptocurrencies with another broker.
This way I feel safer a bit more and I use the low spreads in both.
Regarding the bars I remember Petko said in some of his videos that the more bars we use the less profit the EAs will have. So we need to look for this middle number of bars. Not sure now when it is 500k and not 200k where is the middle…
What do you mean that 200k bars make it slower, it should not?

ParticipantWooow! So nice. I am using EA Studio everyday, everyday it is opened with me, but I did not see those improvements.
I think now I will need to review all of my EAs, so see if the are balanced.
Thanks so much Petko!

ParticipantI can say both are really great. The EAs we create are different.
For me EA Studio is faster and easier to use, but FSB Pro is so advanced and professional.
I can say that I spend 30% of the time with EA Studio and 70% with FSB pro.
I am just going the usdjpy ea course, and I see that Petko used there the FSB Pro is a great way.

ParticipantHey Jacpin,
with the VPS service the price really depends from the specifications of the VPS you select. Go easy with small, and when it starts to get slower when you place more MT terminals, than you will need to update it.

ParticipantHey George,
it is all about testing and trading, tasting and trading, tasting and trading…
Sometimes we get these EAs that work with months, but not that often. 🙂

ParticipantThe second video for EA Studio updates is called:
Youtube Video: EA Studio updates: Backtesting trading strategies
In this video you will learn how to change the stats in Backtest Output.
As well, I will go over the New Backtest output called Backtest quality and Bars in trade.
And I will go over the Count of entries by weekdays and Profit and loss in currency by weekdays:
More, I explain:
- Profit and loss in currency by entry hour
- Profit and loss in currency by exit hour
- Count of entries, profits, losses by entry hour
- Monthly performance in currency

Note* when you change the Session hours they will effect the entry and the exit of the positions. If there is a SL and TP the entry might happen outside the predefined trading hours. The broker is obliged to execute the SL and TP at any time.

ParticipantHey George,
Glad to hear from you again. Thank you, I am doing fine. You have new courses and a lot in the forum to catch up with 🙂

ParticipantHello guys,
before placing it all on local computers I used Contabo VPS services. Please, do not take it as recommendation, but they were just fine.
Also, they have huge variety of plans. More, they are not connected with a broker, and personally I would not place my EAs with broker’s VPS, specially the one that I use for trading.

ParticipantHello Dommech,
Glad to see you share your results.
I have a question:
If the first one is your Demo account why there are less number of orders with the first 2 EAs that you marked in red, compared with the same in the live account. Didn’t you place the EAs first on Demo, and then on Live account? Looking at the others bellow, you have more number of orders on Demo than the Live account as it should be(Actually the rest even with 1 trade only look very good in the Live).
Regarding what you say, absolutely right! There is not guarantee that if one strategy makes profits in Demo, it will keep it up in the Live. But we need to test it, and we need to have more things on our side – such as the acceptance criteria, Monte Carlo and all tools we use in EA Studio to create better strategies.

ParticipantHello Jie,
Yes, all the EAs that I generate every new month come with different Magic numbers.
Now the courses as Top 10 EURUSD, Top 10 GBPUSD and Top 10 USDJPY, Top 5 EAs, are with same EAs, and I just update them every 2-3 months when ever optimization is needed for some of the EAs. For the Top 10 EURUSD this month was not needed to have an update, that is why you see the last update.

ParticipantHey Guys,
I have not been writing in the Forum, as I wanted to write something sustainable.
So here is the portfolio I have now(It took me 3 months) but the next 3 months were very successful – 74,5% in to the account.
I have 18 EAs trading Forex. I have equal exposure to each currency. And I have more cross pairs than the major pairs.
I have 12 cryptocurrency EAs trading. Again same exposure.
I have 6 indexes with the minimal size.
Now, I am testing gaz, oil, gold and some stocks. I test at least 1 month each EA.
I very much enjoy the new updates in the EA Studio as r-squared and the possibility to have more Historical data. Not sure how useful it is to place more than 200k bars, but it feels good when you see more count of trades in the generated strategies 🙂
