I would suggest you all use SL for the EA on sp500. As with all other indexes, there are the times when the market drops suddenly. This might affect a lot your balance if you are in a long position at this time.

    Hello Desita,

I like the way you shared the Forex strategy, without the parameters. This way, everyone will know that it is important to find the parameters that work fine with the selected Forex broker.

Good job! The stats look just fine.

You are right, Haliffa! You need to concentrate on the strategies, and the EAs, and the workflow. It is very important for the trader to focus on the most important.

    Hey guys,

I am very happy to hear that the videos are useful. I am going to record more. I wish the day was 36 hours at least so I can have the time to record videos for everything 🙂

Hey Japcin, great to see you share your experience as well.

Donald, as Japcin said, you need to have the EAs trading with different lots.

Also, you can look for bigger diversification with more currency pairs. You can trade as many different assets as you wish. The ea trading with FIFO restriction is about one and the same asset.

    Hey Andi,

this is a question that every algorithmic trader starts to ask himself at one time, especially after some experience is there. You are there now 🙂

The best is to combine the two. It is good if you have EAs that perform well for a longer time, and at the same time, you need the EAs that might bring you quick profits in the short term.

As Jacpin says, as far as it is within your rules, keep trading with it. And during this time look for the EAs that you create or you take from me. You do not know which one of those will remain profitable for a long time, so this is the only way to find those best Expert Advisors.

Interesting FSB Pro discussion here, mates! I am a huge fan of FSB Pro, I have used it now for above one year, and it took me some time to figure it all, and to start creating robust strategies.

I can add to Andi, that you should test all different options, as generating EAs without any locked rules, then such with locked rules, and compare the results.

When you compare two systems, always use the same currency and the same timeframe. This way you will have a better idea which choice of method is better.

    Hello Ossaio,

I will try to answer all the questions here about the FSB Pro, I am sure they will be useful for others too.

    1. I like to lock some trading conditions before running the generator. Every one of us has own trading logic, and it is good to develop it with the time.

    2. On M1 I use 350k bars. On M5 I use 150k bars. I do not think the stable strategy depends so much on the count of bars, but the robustness itself.

    3. I think the win rate above 70% is unrealistic. For me everything above 55 is fine. As acceptance criteria, I always use the profit factor and the stagnation.

    4. I take a strategy out of the real account when it makes more consecutive losses than on the backtest. For example, if the strategy has 6 consecutive losses on the backtest, and I see that the strategy made 7 on the live, I would remove it. This means that probably the strategy was overoptimized, or it is not suitable for the market anymore.

    Hello Jie,

When I took the FSB Pro the first time I was very frustrated too because it is complicated. I think that is why the EA Studio came up to make it easier and simple, but I still have better strategies from FSB Pro..keep in mind that I use it for over 2 years now. Actually now I took 3rd license so I can run it on 3 machines all the time.

Watch the lectures from Mr. Popov that are free, and watch them a few times. The details do matter there.

Also, if you have particular questions, I will answer them.

Best Expert Advisors in time? This morning I was wondering this question.

Should we focus on the best Expert Advisors that we find during the current month, put a higher lot and use them for short period of time, or should we focus on the best Expert Advisors that we find in the longer term, even not making such great profits?

Everyone looks for the best Expert Advisors that will run a long time in the account and will trade with profits, but so far I found only a couple that went profitable over 4-5 months. Of course with the time I will find more and will have a stable portfolio I am looking for.

The point is that when we are changing monthly the EAs, we use the best Expert Advisors at the moment, as Petko teaches, and that brings me personally more pips.

Would be happy to know what others think about this.

    Hi Desita,

great to see you shared your Forex strategy. I like the profit and loss in currency by weekdays stats.

I am going to build it with my broker and optimize. See if it will pass the Monte Carlo and Multi Markets.

    Hello Donald,

there was written a lot on this forum about the EA hedging trading with the FIFO rule, but I couldn’t find it. There was a thing to be done in order to go around it legally, staying within the rules.

I believe Jacpin was from The States, and she shared there her experience. If she could give you summarised answer here will be nice of her.

Jacpin, did you re-export the EAs with the new set up in tools? If you did a change but did not re-export your EAs, it will not work.
