ParticipantHey Andi, you go it right, with the update of EA Studio acceptance criteria we can filter the separate sectors as In Sample and Out of Sample. That allows us to generate strategies that perform robustness tests as Multi Market and Monte Carlo in the In Sample part and in the same time those that pass the validation criteria in Out Of Sample part.

ParticipantOssaio, when you say 5 years do you mean only one time frame or you are doing 5 years on all time frames?

ParticipantHello Jie,
you seem to be very consistent in your work which is great!
As far as I understand you are testing all months but you are looking at the performance for the current month in FX BLue, right?
And now you want to look at the results only for the last week?
Petko Aleksandrov
ParticipantHey Roman, I keep at the default 20 tests and 80%. I am testing now the OOS function which I believe is a stronger robustness test for the strategies.

ParticipantHey man, Petko deserves it! What we are doing now he started it a long time ago 🙂
What do you mean by getting the numbers up per asset? Do you mean increasing the lots or getting better results?

ParticipantAfter the video of Petko, I am planning to start using the OOS. It seems like really nice and useful. SImply, we do not use the whole period that we have but we use chosen % of Historical data. After that, we see the results that would have happened in the last months. And with the update int he acceptance criteria, we get only the good strategies.

ParticipantHey Jacpin,
thank you so much for making it clearer. And this is based on the statistic in the live account, right?
So if one strategy gets better than another, you will switch the trading lot? For example, if the second best strategy take first place with best win/loss you will make it with 0.04, and the other one that was with 0.04 so far, you would make it 0.03. I hope I got it now 🙂

ParticipantMake sure to press Ctrl+F5 from time to time. They launch many new updates, and it is good to refresh it by deleting the cache.
Petko Aleksandrov
ParticipantJacpin, I did not understand what exactly you mean? How do you choose which EAs to set with 0.04?
Regards,
Petko Aleksandrov
ParticipantI wish Petko makes a course only for risk management, I think it will be very useful.
Petko Aleksandrov
ParticipantJacpin,
I think your system could be used from non US traders like us.
I would like to test trading with bigger lots the EAs that perform better.

ParticipantHello Cone,
I test them all. Recently I am more focused on Forex experts, but also test the cryptocurrency experts from Petko, and place the best performers for the month, and than I go to the next month. So I do not keep cryptocurrency expert advisors for few months. I think the market changes there a lot, that is why I use the new ones that Petko updates in the courses.

ParticipantR – squared is great improvement, I think it improved a lot the generator because it chooses more stable strategies
February 18, 2019 at 10:42 pm in reply to: How satisfied are you with the automated trading software EA Studio? #9754Petko Aleksandrov
ParticipantStrategy Quant has these ridiculous trading strategies that are generated and the trading rules are something like rsi multiplied by macd, and this value is used. I tried it but than I found EA Studio which creates logical strategies, and we can see the the indicators over the chart, and where the trades are opened and closed.
I am not sure if all users of EA Studio realise how good it is.
