ParticipantWell done, Bart! I like testing with 0.01 on live account the new Expert Advisors I create. This is the most realistic way of testing Expert Advisors.
Now the most important thing for you is to build a stable risk money management system, so you will not be taking huge risks.
Keep up the work!

ParticipantHello Iohan,
This is how I use the lower time frames, but that this does not mean that there are no other alternatives. There are many.
Keep in my that in my courses I share how I am doing it, but I never said: ” You should do it the same way.” I am just showing my methods and the best thing would be if you use them but in your way, with your approach. Hope that makes sense.
Cheers,
Petko Aleksandrov
ParticipantHello Iohan,
You are very welcome! I am really glad that the courses cause interested, and many traders join.
The next course will be dedicated to the biggest problem in algorithmic trading – the robustness of the strategies.
We all know that we can create EAs very easy with EA Studio, so the question is how to know if these strategies will perform well in the future.
I will cover all the robustness tests in detail. Probably this time I will focus on the USDCAD pair.

ParticipantI use the automated trading software EA Studio for 5 months now, and just now I have a better idea about it, and I can share what I experienced.
First, it took me a long time as I am working fulltime(hope soon to depend on the trading only).
I watched all of the courses from Mr Petko Aleakdnrov, and they are long. All in all about 50-55 hours of lectures. Don’t get me wrong, they are long but very educational and engaging. So it took me about 3 months to watch them after work.
Since the beginning of 2019, I started with a small live account where I test Expert Advisors with EA Studio with 0.01 lots.
In January I did +1189 pips. In February i did +1790 pips.
I am happy with the results because I never did such results before. Like most of the traders here, before I was losing money with manual trading.
It took me time, but I am satisfied with the results, I feel confident(not over-confident, I just control the EAs in my portfolio with strict performance criteria).
Success to all!

ParticipantI believe everyone who put some effort with EA Studio will benefit.

ParticipantSorry for the silly question here, but how do you transfer Expert Advisors from EA Studio to FSB Pro, I tried to use the Import Back, but it fails.
Petko Aleksandrov
ParticipantSo as far as I understood it will be good to generate the strategies for M1 and M5 with EA Studio but to trade them with portfolio Experts?
Petko Aleksandrov
ParticipantHey Petko,
thanks for the recent courses, they were really interesting. I am still testing the R-squared feature from the last Top 10 AUDUSD trading course, but at the same time, I wanted to ask you what is the upcoming trading course? 🙂
Petko Aleksandrov
ParticipantHello Stephen,
good job! In my Portfolio Expert Advisors course, I show trading many strategies with EURUSD.
If you have seen the course, you will know that I trader M1 and M5, but there the idea is different – I start trading with all the strategies, and I remove the ones that perform not as expected.
It is good that you keep generating new EAs all the time. This way you will maintain the number of Experts in the portfolio.
Kind regards,
Petko Aleksandrov
ParticipantHey Stephen,
that sounds like really a nice approach.
Make sure to use the same Historical data.
There might be a small difference in the results when you transfer strategy from EA Studio. This is because with EA Studio the EAs open on bar open, while if FSB Pro they open at bar close(which is nearly the same moment). Also, with some of the indicators, you can have the entry in the bar.
Petko Aleksandrov
ParticipantGlad to hear you took the advice, Haliffa!
Having 5-10 strategies ready for trading daily is a treasure. Imagine such an EA is a couple of 100s dollars on the market, and with EA Studio and FSB Pro we generate them daily.
Petko Aleksandrov
ParticipantCheers, guys! I wish you a successful month!
Petko Aleksandrov
ParticipantHi Haliffa,
that is a good idea. I was wondering how to combine EA Studio and FSB Pro.
So after having the best strategies in the Reactor left, we can move this strategy to FSB Pro.
As far as I know, we can not import back EA from EA Studio to FSB Pro or the other way around.
So I am planning to build it there in the generator, and put some longer time filters to eliminate some of the wrong entries.
Will let you know how it goes, but sounds great. Thanks for the idea.
Petko Aleksandrov
ParticipantHey Edu,
I use M1 and M5 with portfolio Expert Advisors. Recently I made 4 portfolios, each one has about 20-30 strategies inside.
I am not focused on the number, but more to choose the strategies with the acceptance criteria.
I trade them for one month, and during this month I generate new ones, and I add the good ones to the portfolio.
Petko Aleksandrov
ParticipantThank you, Petko! You are the man!
