ParticipantI keep the simple system mentioned above with trading the EAs with 0.01 and it works really nice. No need to make it complicated.

ParticipantHello Bart,
Great results out there! Yes, the courses are long but so useful to me. I am watching them all for the 3rd time. 🙂

ParticipantI am looking forward to the trading course too!

ParticipantI guess everyone uses the MT trader backtester just at the beginning to check if the journal matches and the strategy results are the same. But that is it. Once you see that the backtest with Forex Strategy Builder and EA Studio is accurate, why would you lose time with the slow MetaTrader backteser.
More, the MetaTrader backtester has some ridiculous things such as to give you the ambiguous bars with the TP value. I have been using MT for so many years now, and I do not know why they did not improve it.

ParticipantHello,
as far as I am familiar with spread betting, I do not think FSB Pro is designed for that just because it is designed for actual trading. But after a few months now I see that FSB Pro makes it all possible, it has so many different options and possibilities(you can learn new things every day about it) that I am sure you can figure it out how to use it for spread betting

ParticipantHello Kim,
Welcome to the forum!
1. Yes, the EAs from FSB Pro are slower on Meta Trader tester than those from EA Studio. This is because the ones from EA Studio are simpler, with smaller code, and they have only the MetaTrader indicators. If you have some custom indicators or Longer TIme Frames it will make the Meta Trader slower. Now, this does not mean that there is a problem with the EAs, but more that the MetaTrader tester cannot handle them quickly.
2. No, you do not need to. Whatever indicators you use, they are inside the code of the Expert. You do not need to place them on Meta Trader.
3. When you have the generator running for a longer time, you will have simply more strategies calculated. The more strategies you have, the more will pass the acceptance criteria that you selected to use. So this will bring you more strategies and you will see the best ones on the top. With FSB Pro we have working minutes too. Go to Generator -> Settings:

ParticipantHey Shamasa,
you are right, we keep an eye on this too but…it will take a long time if it ever happens.

ParticipantHello Shamasa,
the bigger diversification you have the better. Try not to concentrate on a particular number of EAs you want to trade, but more on the best strategies to trade.
Even you have a big capital, you better trader 5-6 great EAs instead of 20-30 EAs just because you calculated the risk with number of EAs.

ParticipantFantastic results, indeed!

ParticipantHello Iohan,
No silly questions here. You can ask anything. For the moment you can not import back an Expert Advisor created with EA Studio to FSB Pro, or one created with FSB Pro to place back in EA Studio.
What you can do is to build the strategy in FSB Pro. Just open a new strategy, and place the entry and exit conditions you see in the strategy in EA Studio. Place the exact methods, parameters values, SL and TP, and you will have the strategy there.

ParticipantYou are right, Shamasa, I did not talk about Walk forward so far because it was improved all the time. For sure this time I will cover it because it is a robustness tool, and if it is improved int he future, I will just update the course.

ParticipantHey Petko,
I read in the news that more and more scam brokers were exposed! I hope they will catch them all…I do not know how, but I hope 🙂

ParticipantHello guys,
does someone have a formula about the currency pairs traded with the whole number of EAs in the portfolio.
For example, if I trade totally with 20 EAs, how many different currency pairs should I choose?
It could be 5 with 4 different time frames, it could be 10 with 2 different time frames, etc..
Petko Aleksandrov
ParticipantHello, Edu!
Fantastic result for 6 months! Keep it up!

ParticipantI am waiting for this trading course, Petko! I hope you will go over the Walk forward because I can not still figure it out. And I think you did not mention it in your courses so far.
