ParticipantHi Fabian,
The 50 smoothing period will not work because you do not have enough historical data.
Since you have 2147483647 you should have historical data back to Nov 1,2023 but when I see your screenshot it shows your historical data doesn’t even go back more than 1 day. I would contact your broker and find out why you cannot get more historical data.

ParticipantHi Fabian,
After you do the 9’s and then go back to the chart and then come back to the 9’s, the 9’s should change to 2147483647. Are you getting this or a much smaller number? If a much smaller number then your broker is limiting the historical data. For example with the FTMO server the data for M1 goes back to September 2023. I would contact your broker to see if they can increase the historical data. If your broker cannot give you more historical data I would consider finding a different broker.
With the historical data I see available on the chart you do not have enough historical data for a smoothing of 50 periods.

ParticipantHi Fabian,
The first thing to do is to go to Tools>options>Charts. Then go down to Max bars in history and enter 9’s all the way across the white space. Do the same for Max bars in chart. Click OK.
Now go to the chart and select the time frame. On the tool bar unselect “Scroll the chart to the end on tick incoming” and unselect “Shift end of the chart from right boarder” buttons.
Now in the tool bar press the Zoom Out button until chart zooms out as far a possible.
Now hold down the HOME key. Chart should scroll across the window. Hold down until chart stops scrolling. This will maximize the historical data. Click END key to return to end of chart. Do this for each time frame.
Also, when installing the robot first make sure you have the Auto Trading button on the tool bar selected.
Now see if the robot will start working.

ParticipantHi Melvin,
First thing is to make sure the lot size are the same for both EA Studio and FSBpro.
To run Monte Carlo just use the default settings. If the EA passes Monte Carlo then it is not overoptimized.
For a more fair comparison make sure both EA Studio and FSBpro only have the same indicators selected for use.

ParticipantHi Melvin,
Over optimized EAs should not be used as they generally will result in losses. However, EAs generated by EA Studio or FSBpro, which is what is used to create the FTMO robots, does not over optimize the robots. Having said that, you can manually overoptimize the robots with EA Studio or FSBpro, but when Petko creates the robots they are not overoptimized.

ParticipantHi Melvin,
You really cannot compare FSBpro to EA Studio. FSBpro contains a lot more indicators it can use whereas EA Studio is limited to using only the indicators contained in MT4 / MT5.
Answer 1. I am not sure what you mean by too much profit. You can limit the profit from the robots during the creation process in EA Studio or FSBpro by setting the TP to a specific number of pips.
Answer 2. No, FSBpro does not generate portfolios like EA Studio does. The porfolio FSBpro has allows you too combine all the strategies together so you can see how they work together.
Answer 3. While FSBpro contains the same indicators as EA Studio it also has additional indicators not included in EA Studio it can use and often does use in the creation of strategies. Since FSBpro strategies most likely will contain indicators not used by EA Studio you cannot import FSBpro collections into EA Studio.

ParticipantHi Luce,
The open trade will continue to trade even through you disable or remove the robot from the chart.

ParticipantThe lot size does not automatically adjust either. I would suggest changing the lot size based upon the risk to your account size you are willing to accept.

ParticipantHi gabiscriba,
Petko uses the FTMO FREE demo account to test the robots before he uses them on a funded account. He has had a lot of success doing this. He has also used the results of testing on the FTMO demo account to use the robots with other prop firms and he has had success do that as well. This is the strategy he uses to tests the robots and has had success in passing challenges on FTMO and other prop firms. Infact, he suggests using the results of the FTMO app for deciding which robots to use on the FTMO challenge as well as using them with other prop firms.
I, on the other hand, use a different strategy. Both strategies seem to work.

ParticipantHi Jonathan,
TP and SL do not auto adjust, they will remain the same.

ParticipantHi Anna,
The FTMO V5.0 robot EURUSD has been in a losing trend over the last two weeks. Now is not the time to start trading this robot.

ParticipantHi Traders,
When sharing your FTMO robot results for the week please share the following:
1. prop firm / broker you are using
2. your account size
3. FTMO robots version (v5.0/v6.0/etc)
4. your risk o.o5%, 1.0% or 2.0%.
5. number of trading days
6. your trading resultsThis is necessary so when others are looking at your results and comparing them to their own results they will have a better understanding as to why their results may differ from yours.
Thanks,

ParticipantHi Hooman,
Its just that when others see your results and they are not the same as yours it makes them worry as to what is going on. So when we compare our results, and this is for everyone, we need to also share the prop firm/broker we are using so when others see the results they will understand why there are differences.
Thanks again,

ParticipantHi Hooman,
Thanks! Trade results will be different with different prop firms / brokers so it is important when sharing results the prop firm / broker should also be noted. Thanks for sharing!

ParticipantHi Sammy,
When did you start the trial. I started testing the FTMO robots on 01/08/2024 on an FTMO Challenge instead of the demo account and my best two pairs are AUDUSD and USDCAD. So I would like to compare the difference between the demo account and the challenge. I find it interesting one of your best pairs is AUDCHF where mine is AUDUSD. Can you also provide the net pips for AUDCHF and USDCAD. Unfortunately as of this last week traders in the US can no longer use the FREE FTMO demo account so I am not able to compare the difference between the demo account and the challenge. Could you also show the results of all the robots for this last week?
Thanks,
Alan -
