ParticipantHi Aretri,
The robots have indicators built into them that tells when to open trades and when to close trades. The SL and TP are secondary. So if the built in indicators do not all line up to close a trade then if the SL and TP price levels are hit they will close the trade.

ParticipantHi Tanyeem,
It is possible the backtester will show having taken a trade where the ftmo account does not. How long have you had the ftmo accounts? If you just started them this week then you need to give them more time. Look at the FTMO app and see how many trades were taken in the last week. It will show maybe one or two trades per week. You may just need to give the robots more time to react.

ParticipantHi Tanyeem,
As long as there is a smiley face or a blue hat in the upper right hand corner of the trading window then the robots are working properly and you just need to give the robots more time to take trades. Also, it appears from your response you have various accounts with different brokers / prop firms. The robots will trade differently with differing brokers / prop firms because the historical data of the brokers / prop firms are different. This is most likely the reason why you are seeing different results.

ParticipantHi Joe,
The settings for a 1 step challenge would depend upon the specifications of the challenge.

ParticipantHi Max,
Look at the FTMO app over the last 1 month and you can see the robots had some nice profits. Also pay attention to the blue lines on the charts and they will show you the robots had periods of drawdowns but over the longer term have been quite successful.

ParticipantHi Nchele,
When you go to FTMO app you will notice that AUDUSD only had 2 trades last week and the other 2 top robots only had 1 trade. So as you can see the robots do not trade very often. For this reason you need to give the robots more time to open trades.
As for the 50k and 10k challenges did you download and install the 50K and 10K robots? If so then I think you just need to give the robots more time to open trades.

ParticipantHi Joseph,
Your settings will work but I would recommend a slight change:
Maximum daily loss:210 (240 – 0.5% of account balance)
Minimum equity:5670 (5640 + 0.5% of account balance)
Maximum equity:6630 (6600 +0.5% of account balance)

ParticipantHi Boyan,
Sometimes an EA will work on a different pair and sometimes not. So it is hard to say if the EA in question contributed to some of the loss without doing further analysis. The way I would check to see if the EA contributed to the loss would be to do a backtest of the EA on both pairs. Then you can look at the results of both backtests to see if the EA contributed to some of the loss when attached to the wrong pair. You can use the MetaTrader Strategy Tester to do the backtest but EA Studio would give a more accurate backtest.
Also, now that I think about it more, you can do a backtest on the 5 EAs for the last one month and then look at the resulting graph to see if the EAs are in a nice upward profitable trend. This would give you an idea if the EAs are being profitable over the longer term and that they are just going through a short term drawdown.

ParticipantHi Boyan,
Yes it is possible to EAs to have a period of losing. Monitoring the performance of EAs over just a one week period is not sufficient to determine the long term outlook for the EA. Monitoring for a month will give a better understanding as to whether or not the EAs will continue to be profitable of should be replaced.

ParticipantHi Miguel,
Did you check Allow Web Requests?

ParticipantHi Michal,
It is up to you as to how often you check the top performers. One way is to just check them once a week. Another way would be to check the monthly and the weekly to see which robots show up for both the monthly and weekly time frames. This would tell you which robots have been best performers for a longer period of time. So there are various ways to use the FTMO app.
As for leverage, leverage is set by the broker or prop firm and not by the robot.

ParticipantHi Nicholas,
This is because Minimum equity (currency) and/or Maximum equity (currency) in the EAs properties box are not the proper values for your account size. The proper values depends upon which prop firm you are using and your account balance.

ParticipantHi Hope and Richard,
The FTMO V6.0 robots have a built in indicator that is used for closing positions. When this indicator signals a close the robot will be closed. The TP and SL are used as a secondary method of closing closing trades when the built in indicator does not signal a close.
