ParticipantHi Petko/Alan,
I’m not sure what’s the issue but the EA seems to be not performing well at all. I use the default settings on this FTMO trial (I chose 2 lot to 6 lot knowing the risk/exposure but the EA seems to never hit TP. Can you let me know if the standard settings are to be somehow adjusted?
Thanks

ParticipantNo, you do not need to make adjustments. The EA closes trades when its indicators signal a trade closure or the SL or TP is hit.

ParticipantHappy to hear you got it working!

ParticipantWhen the EA was created it was not backtested before 2023, as a result, it might not backtest well before 2023.

ParticipantGlad you found the issue. This is because the EA works on M1 but it needs bars to be loaded on M30.
Cheers,
Mitchell Hogan
ParticipantThat makes no sense. Please don’t reply with inanities. If an EA doesn’t work outside of a brief 6 month period, then it just doesn’t work.

ParticipantSorry, that was a bit harsh. My apologies.

ParticipantThe Robot has done very well over the past two days, which is when it started for the first time on my 50K Demo account with FTMO. I made my settings 2.0 6.0 2.0 0.1
I think I will buy the Challenge with FTMO and let the Robot go live on Monday.

ParticipantHi Everyone, hope you are enjoying the week end.

Hi Petko,
Will this Robot V4 and above work with Darwinex?
I know you use WAKA WAKA with Darwinex, are there any other EA’s you recommend in our Academy, with projected long term profitability and sustainability that can be used with Darwinex?
Many Thanks,
Silvia

ParticipantBig scare today, the Robot almost put an end to my FTMO Challenge on day one.
It made three short trades at 1.09026, then immediately went into a floating draw-down all the way up to 1.09353. I had to move the StopLoss lines at 1.09309 to avoid them kicking in and taking me above my permitted draw-down.
The trades are still floating above the entry prices.

ParticipantI think before anyone considers using it for Darwinex Petko Alexandrov needs to add an option for a delay before opening the trade. This will help make each trader slightly unique with their own trades.
I’m sure I read somewhere with Darwinex that there is a percentage requirement for the trades of each individual trader. I also know the majority of prop firms out there have a threshold of how many positions can be opened at the exact same time on their server.
I’ve posted a few messages in this forum asking Petko to consider adding this.
I hope he might add this to it on his next EA update.

ParticipantUPDATE: The first and only trades the Robot made yesterday on my new FTMO 50K Challenge has closed out at a loss, over and above my permissible daily drawdown for the Challenge.
This effectively has put an end to the Challenge along with the possibilities and the fee I paid.
I am very disappointment, the Robot made only three trades, which went against the trend and the trades never recovered, but remained in constant drawdown.
So, Petko, I do not think your Robot is a good one as it is now, in my honest opinion, because the facts speak for themselves. In case you ask, my settings were 2.0 6.0 2.0 0.1, everything else was left unchanged.

ParticipantHi, i saw many other people having these messages (see image), do you guys know why it does this ? I have mt5, downloaded from ftmo website, and i ran the FTMO robot on a trial account of FTMO since today (not backtest). The account is 10k, and the only settings that i changed is :
Amount for a new position (lot ) : 0.3
Maximum position amount (lot) : 0.3
No trades were open, and got these messages. Anyone know what i did wrong ?
Thanks a lot for your answer !!

ParticipantIn my messages of August 9 I showed recommended lot sizes based on account balance. I also noted the FTMO EA was moving sideways over a large trading range from about June 1 forward. I then suggested demo trading FTMO until it started to show steady profits again before going live.
